Did not receive our paychecks and now my bank account is in the negative with "insufficient funds fees" on top of that. This is not the 1st time that this has happened to us, we work E.M.S and most of us have families with children and we are at the mercy of this company and feeling helpless and angered beyond belief ! What we're being told is that Paycom has decided to incorporate now, that they can wait to deposit our checks up to late in the evening. There was no email to us about this and we have all been blindsided. Paycom should reimburse the fees we have incurred from our banks due to Paycom's negligence. My time with Paycom is ending, I have utilized them for payroll processing for the last 17 years with the four companies I have worked for and referred many others along the way. Paycom has changed for the negative in most aspects. In my current position of 9 years, I signed up with Paycom upon being hired with an agreement of services. Last year, they changed the agreement with zero notice and literally told me "too bad, that is what we are charging you now" when I asked (repeatedly) about it. The require the user to do more, their employees to do less, while increasing the fees at the same time. They have increased the time it takes an employer to process payroll by adding additional steps, increased the time they pay the payroll taxes to the state, decreased the support of the dedicated specialist, plus wants the employer to watch/learn/read how to do processes within the Paycom system - all while raising the price of the service. The specialists who answer the phone always sound tired; I can only imagine what their turnover rate is. My department recently did a payroll *************** comparison with the fourteen top payroll processing companies. Paycom came in first with promises and second in cost. Yet, they keep failing to deliver on service. Also, whatever you do, do NOT change your FEIN or corporate structure, and expect a smooth transition with Paycom. That mess was one of the most difficult processes I have ever had with any service I pay for.It would be great if they would return to what it once was. Our journey with Paycom started off great, about three pay periods were smooth sailing. They appeared efficient and reliable, and we were quite optimistic about our partnership. However, as time went on, we started noticing some issues with their documentation. Despite our efforts to sort things out, the problems persisted, causing disruptions in our payroll process and making us question the accuracy of our records. It became increasingly evident that Paycom wasn't the best fit for our business. Things went downhill fast when we decided to part ways with Paycom. Suddenly, the friendly faces we were used to dealing with turned cold, and getting any help became a struggle. It felt like we were being treated as unwanted just because we chose to end our contract. I've been trying for weeks to get in touch with Paycom for important documents like paystubs and check registers after ending our contract, but it's been radio silence. Every time I reach out, I'm met with delays, excuses, or outright refusal to provide what we need. Even Jaxson ****, who was helpful before, seems to have had a change of heart, becoming unhelpful and dismissive. And then there's the issue of getting our employee taxes refunded. Despite our efforts to discuss this matter, nobody at Paycom seems willing to address it. It's frustrating, to say the least, and it feels like they're avoiding us now that we've canceled our contract, leaving us feeling disregarded and overlooked. It's incredibly disappointing to experience such a lack of accountability and customer service from a company we once relied on. Based on our experience, I wouldn't recommend Paycom for any payroll services. It has recently come to our attention that accessing our essential employee data post-termination is met with a hefty fee by Paycom. This fee, which is both exorbitant and unreasonable, places an unjust burden on our company, particularly given the critical nature of the data for our ongoing business operations and compliance obligations.By holding our data hostage behind a paywall, Paycom is not just hindering our operational efficiency but is also infringing upon our fundamental rights to access our own information. This policy raises grave concerns about data accessibility and ownership, revealing a blatant disregard for the welfare of their clients.Potential clients must be forewarned: signing up with Paycom means subjecting yourself to the risk of facing exorbitant fees for access to your own data upon termination of services, with costs amounting to thousands of dollars.The way Paycom handles this situation will definitely affect the decisions of both current and potential clients, as it reflects on their reputation and trustworthiness as a service provider.Paycom Payroll, LLC Response

Awarding 1 star is far kinder than Paycom deserves. The gradual decline of customer support at ******************** has finally hit an all time low. If you expect to get good tech support, solutions to problems, replies to your calls or emails, friendly knowledgeable support specialists, and immediate responses to debilitating software issues, PAYCOM IS NOT the company for you! If you enjoy high levels of stress due to your HRIS provider ignoring urgent issues, disregarding pleas for solutions to their software glitches, disconnected calls with no effort to reconnect, long wait times before and after being disconnected, unqualified technicians fielding calls, and empty promises then PAYCOM IS the company for you. In fact the replies to the other complaints below are so familiar I could probably recite them verbatim. The last one I received was over three weeks ago, they promised me a prompt response to address the technical difficulties associated with their 'Learning System'. Still no follow through, clearly we have different definitions of prompt. I'm at the point that I dread calling them for assistance, the tech support is either unqualified, rude, or a combination of both. My favorite tech experience was with a really nice woman who did not know how to send an attachment or share screen. To this day, that issues has yet to be resolved, and that was in 2023. Once Paycom secured our commitment and started collecting regular cash flow from us they essentially left us high and dry while still aggressively attempting to sell us more features. Paycom lacks integrity and I highly recommend avoiding investing in Paycom for your next HRIS purchase.Paycom Payroll, LLC Response

I used Paycom for several years and decided to move and start my business in a different location. I stopped payroll and was not notified by Paycom until over a year after stopping payroll that I would be back charged $38 a month because they had been maintaining my account data. Nowhere in my contract is it mentioned that I would be charged $38 a month for "seasonal processing" and yet Paycom took over a year of charges out of my bank account without letting me know they were doing it. When confronting them about their lack of contact for over a year to let me know I would be charged and suddenly charging me, they talked to the "higher **** who ultimately decided to not refund or credit me for these charges. I feel as though this is terrible customer care because of their lack of communication, the fact that the charges are not mentioned in my contract, and that those people that run Paycom would not talk to me to discuss my situation so I could be reimbursed. I have had it with their lack of response. I understand if a communication is not urgent, that they have the 48 business hours turn around time, however, when we're talking about payroll issues with employees' rates, sick accruals, and w2 corrections, I would have assumed they would treat my concerns with the utmost urgency. Instead, no updates or action taken for over a week after sending initial emails and still no response after follow up. The needed corrections on payroll have still not been completed and this was pointed out at the beginning of the month! Another payroll will be processed in 2 days and nothing but crickets from Paycom. I started including the account manager and the team leader on all of my emails to my "dedicated representative," but that was useless since they don't care enough to step in and assist. They have an awesome sales rep that responds immediately and is extremely knowledgeable, but their "support" team? Very, very disappointing.Paycom Payroll, LLC Response

In Jan 2022 We paid $3000 to Paycom to set up our payroll, I was told they never made any payroll errors, no BBB complaints at all. Soon I found they made an error on my payroll, then I found they not only charge me base fees plus software fees, each payroll they also charge me a small amount of directly deposit fees and multiple state tax filling fees, even one of their reps told me that directly deposit fees should be covered in base fees; I talked to them so many times, their response is they can't change that, I was blamed that I just want to save small money here or there; The fact is that they charged me small amount here and there to make money, they know the number adds up really fast; only these two small charges alone, they made couple thousand more per year. later I stopped using some of their services, I asked them to stop charging me for the services I don't use anymore, they told me that is how contract is set up, nothing they can do, I have to continue to pay for the services I don't use any longer. Due to all the issues, I decided to discontinue contract with Paycom by the end of Oct of 2022; My new payroll company found Paycom never paid WA L&I insurance for my company for 10 months, on our company WA L&I account, ******************** entered Zero wage for three quarters, this caused over $5000 loss on our end. They processed our payroll for 10 months, how they manually entered zero wages to our L&I account, they charged me multiple state tax filling fees but didn't do their duty. 8 months after I expressed my concern, they told me that WA L&I account was never set up on my account, that is why they didn't pay our WA L&I account; if I want them to do that, there will be additional fees. I paid thousands dollars set up fees, why I have to be responsible for their error?Their business practice is not ethical, they don't take any responsibility for their own error. I will fill small court claim to get my money back. I do not recommend Paycom at all!!Review from Melissa C

Buyer Beware!!There is no way Paycom has 4 stars without someone stacking the deck. The platform itself is okay to use. The programming needs some fixing to be considered great. I believe there are intentional gaps in the platform that force clients to buy the "add on's". It meets our needs on the day to day, but it could be better. The problem lies in the customer service set up with the company. The experienced "client" can not resolve any issue themselves. The client is given limited access to back office programs, causing us to rely on the customer support team, and they can't fix anything either. Our "dedicated specialist" is nothing more then a call center tech taking notes on the problem. They have to "send" in a ticket for resolution on just about everything. The tax department for example does not interact with clients directly. The mistakes and over sites from the tax department has cost us hundreds in late fees and interest over the last 2 years. Paycom has made no noticeable effort to correct the known issues with their customer support set up. Again, buyer beware.Paycom Payroll, LLC Response
