I went to purchase a firearm on 3/03/23 i put it on layaway. Payed to more payments on it then on the 03/31/23 i went to get my layaway out an they take awhile looking for my layaway an come to find out that they sold my layaway to someone else the day after I purchased it. An I feel like that wasn't right I might be wrong but I think it was because skin color. An to me that was disrespect to do a customer like that. Yes I got my refund back but I Really Really wanted that purchase.Initial Complaint

I March of 2021, I purchased a tiller front line from at Atwoods in Camden, AR. The tiller was started one time and hasn't worked since then. I contacted Atwoods and told them what going on they told me to take it to a shop and let them test it to see if was the battery or motor. After their testing it was determined that I needed a new motor. I called and told them, someone was supposed to be shipping me one but to this day I have not heard from any one. I have contacted Atwoods several times within the year to try to get this issue resolved and they keep tell me that they are going to call me back and no one ever calls, I've spoke to the manager ****** several time as well as a gentlemen who also promised to call me back and he doesn't call back either. This has been going on for over a year and I'm ready to get this resolve. They keep telling me they are going to contact the manufacturer, and I haven't heard from them either. I have been really patient during this situation, but my patients is starting to weigh thin. I would like to receive either a new Tiller or a full refund for this item. This is sad that I had to result in reporting this to the BBB to get some help. i have attached the receipt that shows the price. I really hope you are able to help me resolve this.Business response

I was the one who took care of ********************! I had been working with him and his Granddaughter to resolve this issue. With correspondence with ***** and ****** the Manufacture was to get in touch with ********************. This took place on 8/1/2022 were we had emails exchange. However no one got in touch with ********************. I spoke with his granddaughter on 9/27/2022 and told her that I would go ahead and replace the tiller for him as an even exchange, he came that day and I replaced ************************ ****** for him. Please let me know ***** is you will need anything else. *************************, Atwoods Assistant Manager *****************
