I don't understand this company's way of doing business. We built a new home and had ONG schedule a line and meter. We asked them to call us when the line was going to be trenched. I came to the house one day to find a third party contractor trenching the line. No calls were made to us. The contractor connected the line and stated the main they tapped was dry. I waited a couple of days thinking they would figure it out. Having a large hole in my backyard and rain on the way started to make me worry. I called in asking for a status and they sent someone out to set the meter. This technician did call me before arriving. I told him the ONG third party contractor stated the main line was dry. By the time I got there the tech had came and gone and no meter was set and the technician did not call me back like he told me he would do. I called back in and ONG stated a superintendent would be arriving soon. I waited at the site until one pm and then called in again to see if the superintendent was still coming. ONG stated they sent an email and someone would be in touch with me shortly. I left the site at 5 PM as no one had showed up or called. Now heavy rain is coming and the large hole in my backyard is going to fill with water and I have yet to be called back by ONG with a status. Furthermore, I get a bill for a Missed Appointment Charge of ***** and I never missed an appointment. Is this a way to run a business?Service Order Number: ******** Service Start Date: November 15, 2024 from 08:00 AM to 08:00 PM (ALL DAY)Service Address:******************************************************************************************* Service Initiation Fee: $35.00 Missed Appointment Charge: $*****Oklahoma Natural Gas Response

After paying for a reconnection of my service and telling the representative that they would need to reach out to an alternative number on the day of the appointment, I got off work today to find 2 voicemails on the line I told them no one could be reached at, telling me I needed to reschedule. No one would tell me why the alternative number that I was assured would be called wasn't. After ****************************************************************************************** don't bank on talking with a manager I was assured a supervisor would be calling me within a couple of hours. It's now 4 hours later almost 9:30 cst pm. No contact. Terrible customer service and conflict resolution. Guess the representative was right on not banking for their management to step in when they should.Oklahoma Natural Gas Response

I recently was contacted by ONG; a box in my backyard had to be replaced and moved. The job turned out to be much more involved than anyone had anticipated. The ******* on the job, ******* ******, handled this extremely complex challenge professionally and accurately. In the process, a part of my yard was torn up, a **** was lost, and a deep trench had to be dug. Everything turned out perfect. ONG replace my **** and laid new mulch where the damage had occurred. In my opinion, my backyard looks better now than before. THANK YOU to Edualdo and his crew. I am more than pleased!**** ******, Oklahoma CityOklahoma Natural Gas Response

With all the "service charges" they need to change their motto to "passing every cost onto our customers". None of my other utilities bill me "service charges" unless an actual service is done. Be dumping these clowns for a heat pump in a few months.Oklahoma Natural Gas Response

Absolutely the worst customer service reps Ive ever experienced. Technician went to wrong property to turn my gas on and then said I never answered the door. Woman on the phone said he knew details of my property and that there was a car in the window. I dont own a cat! And she still refused to admit that he went to the wrong address. Seriously awful people working in their offices.Oklahoma Natural Gas Response

I am 58. This is the worst utility company I have ever been forced to deal with. My monthly bill should be no higher than $75 in a very cold month. My bill for February was $10 due to "computer error". My bill for March was $197 for reasons that no one has been able to explain. When I asked for help with the billing situation, I was told someone would come to inspect the meter. Instead, a technician came to my house and demanded to inspect my appliances. If you enjoy waiting on hold, deceptive communication, and being billed different random amounts, they're perfect for you.Oklahoma Natural Gas Response

We moved from ******* back to Oklahoma and my daughter bought a house we are renting. She paid 35 dollars and had the service tech make sure all pilots were lit. When he left it went out. We had the payments for gas put in our name. We paid another 35 dollars and told the lady after checking pilots the first time the gas pilot went out she smelled gas so turned it off and we would like it checked . The lady said there would be another 25 dollar charge even though we paid 35 dollars as a new customer. We feel they put our lives in danger and cannot use our gas appliance without being held up for 25 more dollars. Isnt it the gas service suppose to keep the public safe from problems? We have been paid in our case 70 dollars total each person owner then renter to be safe. I am disgusted as I am a retired teacher and we had safety programs at our schools in ***** from gas and electric companies but you would hold people up to be safe. We will try to change all appliances eventually to a safe electric service. We started with our new electric dryer. Then we will continue to replace all gas as needed for our safety. . We will be telling all new customers of our experience with ONG . ******* and ***********************Oklahoma Natural Gas Response

My wife called on a Saturday afternoon to report that she smelled gas in our home near the hot water tank. A technician was sent to our home to investigate a possible leak. After inspecting the hot water tank, the tech told my wife the hot water heater was not up to code, and gave her a list of what was needed to fix the issue. The technician then left the house. The next morning I noticed we did not have hot water or gas to the stove. The tech shut off the gas and pulled the meter without telling my wife he was going to do so. When she called ONG, she was told that they would replace the meter when the hot water tank was brought up to code. Shutting off the gas and pulling the meter without informing the customer is unacceptable, to say the least. Is this how customers are typically treated ny ONG? The gentleman doing the repairs today, a Sunday, stated they have never seen that done before.Oklahoma Natural Gas Response

The customer was advised of repairs that were needed. Due to safety concerns with the appliance, we were unable to leave the service on. The service was restored to the customer's property the next day and all safety checks passed.Review from Erica W.
