I contracted with Martin Glass to replace or repair a window on or about May 3rd and paid $350, 1/2 the install price, at the same time. My recollection of the conversation was that it would take about 2 weeks. it was not complete until about July 11th, about 5 times longer that they predicted. The reasons for the delays from Martin fall into the following:1. Missing a second ****** to help with the install.2. They didn't have the trim pieces 3. Had to replace the first replacement glass because it was 1/8" too large (they measured it give me a quote). 4. The replacement broke of the truck on the way over. While I believe I should be compensated for the extra time it took replace the window, my biggest complaint is that I, in nearly each instance of delay, had to call them to find out what was going on. Time line, as best as I can reconstruct:5/3 Ordered 5/7 I called to find out when 5/23 They called to schedule install 5/30 First install - missing edging 6/4 I called on edging 6/10 They called for edging install - I was unhappy with edging 6/18 They called to for edging repair - they had not told me they ordered replacement glass to accommodate edging better, 2nd glass broken 6/24 I called to see when replacement out be installed 7/2 Called to complain at all the follow-up I was having to do 7/8 They called to schedule install 7/11 Final install - I asked for 30% off, told the owner would call me to discuss No owner call just a bill for $350 Through the agent/scheduler they owner states he is loosing money on this project. I am sure this is true. That does not address my issues in the least.
