      I hired Oregon Gutter Services to install gutters on my shop, which was done Aug/2023. I paid the $818 bill. Soon after, I discovered that the drip edge was installed incorrectly. Though frustrating that I had to report poor gutter workmanship out to a gutter company, they did at least come address it. Not much later and after a rain, I discovered that the gutter had been installed sloping down away from the downspout. The company sent someone to look at it but, rather than have them repair it, I decided to install my own downspout on the opposite end. This brings me to my current complaint about the workmanship which is still under warranty. After the snow/ice storm that hit much of the Willamette valley in Jan/2024, ice slid off my shop's metal roof and caught the outer edge of the gutter and tore it down on both sides of the shop and broke a fascia board (see pictures). Gutters are supposed to be hung below the plane of the roof so that a sheet of ice - when sliding off - doesn't catch the gutter and cause this damage. Yet another example of improper installation.I reported this damage and sent pictures immediately after the damage occurred. I wanted them to replace the gutter and install them properly. Despite multiple phone calls, texts, emails, I've had no response for nearly 8 weeks now except by whoever answers the phone for them. It took a few weeks just to hear that the message was delivered to the manager and owner. I was finally told that the manager and owner decided - despite never communicating with me nor any attempt at further information-gathering - that the damage was caused by ice and not by workmanship so it would not be covered under the warranty. The ice could not have caused this damage if gutters were installed correctly. The ice would have slid off the roof, over the gutter, and onto the ground.I need new gutters. I'll have to hire another company or do it myself. So I just want a full refund.
