I recently hired Stereo King to install subs in my ******** and in my classic car it turned out to be a complete disaster. Just 5 minutes after leaving the shop, the system shut off in my ********. I had to pay $2000 for a system that would only cost $1200 elsewhere. The additional $800 was because it's a new electric ********, and they wanted to take their time on it. When they finally started working, it was clear they had no clue what they were doing. Upon taking it back to the shop, they had no idea why it was shutting down. But they are still working on it. I dropped off my cutless S and was told the system install would be done in 3 days and 5 days later less then 10% was done. When asked to have car back to take somewhere else -they charged me $1000 for some door speaker mounts they made that typically anywhere else are $100 but this was the fee to have my keys and access to my car. they wouldn't allow me access to my car unless I paid their fees first. So I have 2 cars that I was over charged for that the stereo systems Dont work in My experience with Stereo King was a nightmare. They are clearly incompetent, unprofessional, and do not care about customer satisfaction. I strongly advise anyone considering their services to look elsewhere unless you enjoy used car salesman tactics and lies.I will update this post with a video of the system not working 5 minutes after I left.Business response

I just wanted to send you an email that you had asked for concerning you Merecedes eqs450, after our phone conversation we had after we closed last night.
I'm still seeking out answers to why your amp & subwoofer you got from us are shutting off and coming back on. We have a few options as a stated last night. The options we have for you is:
1-Bring the vehicle back to us and have us pull everything we put in out and give you a 100% refund including labor.
2-You could have someone else pull the system we installed at your own expense, then bring all items back to the us and we'd give you the same 100% refund as well.
3-We could wait to find more information to resolve this situation. Then we could take the necessary steps to take care of the problem.
