      Bought a 2015 ram **** diesel pickup a year & a half ago. I paid approximately $40,000. Was not told this pickup had all the emission stuff removed on it. I found that out recently due to that the transmission went out on it and some mechanics wont work on it because it was deleted. When the dealership sold it to me they failed to tell me that the emission stuff was altered. They knew this because the car sales rep said I didnt need def. At the time I didnt know that all vehicles had emissions stuff. By deleting the emissions it altered the transmission causing it to go out sooner then it should have.

      Dear customer service rep for **********************,,

      I really wanted my pick up the transmission replaced or a vehicle that was not deleted or altered due to I spent thousands of dollars before the pickup went to garbage.  I just wish that this would get resolved so I can move on with my life and they can move on their life. I dont want a higher car payment which I think thats what theyre trying to go for with something more expensive and I just feel trapped but what to do or what not to do

      I am rejecting this response because:

      All I wanted was for my pickup to be fixed due to they sold me knowing that the pickup was altered without telling me.  Which would have changed how it would impact the buying. It is sad because the dealership never even asked me what I wanted to do . I thought they were going to fix my pickup not try to replace it . They only tried to replace it so they could make another sell. I want my pickup fixed. I shouldnt be stuck with the whole bill to get it fixed

      Clarification of what I want done is the transmission replaced or the vehicle fixed due to that they  sold me a vehicle that was altered for emissions, which is against the law.  All they wanna do is try to sell me a different vehicle which due to my credit they could not and thats not what I originally agreed to. I want my vehicle fixed there has not been once have they tempted to try fixing the vehicle all they did was check it out And said oh yeah, it is a bad transmission

      Every attempt has been made to help ************** resolve the mechanical issues he is experiencing with his 2015 Ram **** that was purchased on 2/10/2022 with ******* miles on it. We picked the truck up from his residence and brought it to our shop for diagnosis at no charge to **************. The truck now has ******* miles on it. Our shop has diagnosed a transmission issue that will require a new transmission. We attempted to assist ************** with refinancing his truck to include a new transmission and also explored the idea of trading him into a different pickup but were unsuccessful in our attempts to secure financing. ************** stated that he had located a transmission for around ***** and requested that we bring his truck back to his residence, which we did. Given the time frame that has elapsed and the miles that have been put on this truck since time of purchase, we do not believe Legacy Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram bears any responsibility in this unforeseen mechanical issue.

      I am rejecting this response because: Due to committing selling a vehicle that was altered and not making customer aware of the vehicle emission was altered. Was the over cause of the failure of the vehicle. Due in part dealership committed selling the pickup knowing of alterations made to the vehicle. Which knowingly knowing that it was not legal.  Then to come to compromise The dealership only wanted to only sale me another vehicle not resolve the mechanical error at hand and the altered emission.

      Regarding the vehicle being altered, we have no evidence that we knowingly sold him an altered vehicle.  ************** signed documents at the time of purchase acknowledging that the vehicle May or May *** be as originally equipped and it did not come with a warranty, copies are attached.

      I am rejecting this response because:

      yes, I signed a thing that said, as is like if something happened to it that normal wear and tear would cause not that it would be something that was altered and they knew. Again, the dealerships gonna use their manipulation and their fast talk like to get what they want and just because its gonna cost some money, they dont want to deal with it guarantee you if you go check out the dealership, they have serval people that will say the same thing that theyve had vehicles that were altered that they should not have been altered that they are selling it against the law, the *************** to be selling a vehicle that it has been deleted emissions in the ***************. Instead of taking part responsibility or full responsibility, they want to push it off to their customer. This is such a bad practice to be selling something that should not have been sold begin with.  ****** penal code is ORS *******. I even have information that their salesman even talked about That I did not need def Which is diesel exhaust fluid. At the time I did not know that meant that the vehicle was deleted, but them, knowing they shouldnt have never sold me the vehicle, and all I want is a compromise

      I bought a 2016 ram **** from this dealership and before they would let me take the vehicle home there was some repairs that they needed to do. One of which was replacing the cv axles. A week after they were installed one of the axles went bad and started throwing grease everywhere so I called and they told me to bring it in. When I did they said that they wouldnt be doing a warranty on the part because the faulty was due to negligence from ******************* when they replaced the struts. Now on a cv axle there are 2 rubber boots one towards the inside of the vehicle and one closer to the tire. The strut is closest to the one by the tire but it was the boot that was furthest away from the strut that was tore. Regardless of position the cv axle did not get removed or repositioned during strut repair. When I explain this to the man at the service counter he told me Im not going to argue with you. Thats how its going to be. He wouldnt let me talk to the technician or anyone else and wasnt listening to anything I was saying after that.

      learned that he was aware of the situation that occurred between our service writer and ***************** 
      The service manager had a conversation with the service writer about the options that are available 
      to *****************
      At this time, **************** has an appointment scheduled for Thursday, December 10?? for repairs to 
      the vehicle. If this appointment does not resolve the situation, I would encourage **************** to 
      contact the service manager for further assistance. He is quite willing to take care of ********************* vehicle and is focused on making sure the outcome is satisfactory
