First and foremost we value every customer and have researched Mr.******* **********
To follow is our research findings.

*************** arrived at our service department on January 25,2023 with his motorcycle on a trailer with a rear flat tire, he asked what our hourly labor rate was and was told our labor rate is $110 per hour plus parts. He unloaded his motorcycle and he authorized our service department to go ahead and remove the the rear tire remove repair the rear tire, balance it. Per our company policy at no-time was Mr. ***** a verbal estimate of $135 to repair his motorcycle.

Had *************** at anytime while his interaction with our service tech stated that all the money he had was $135 to repair a rear tire on a shaft drive motorcycle my service tech would have declined to do the repair.

Our service tech that checked *************** into our service department naturally assumed *************** knew what type of motorcycle he owned and rode. Especially, that his motorcycle was a rear shaft drive motorcycle that in order to remove, repair and replace the rear tire on those type of motorcycles is an involved timely process.

In conclusion, after doing our research and reviewing the attached receipt *************** paid and received, it is found the labor time, parts cost and shop supplies amount to be consistent with the requested repairs authorized by ***************.

Scooter in good working condition, but coolant light would light after 10 minutes of riding. Dropped off on 4/6/22. 4/13 diagnosed thermostat problem, quoted $250, 1 week to repair. Then 4/20-sensor/switch, 5/4-clogged radiator, 5/13-clogged water pump & broken gasket, 5/27-clogged engine. On 5/13 owner agreed final price would be $532 and bike should be fixed after gasket replaced. We finally had enough by 5/27 diagnosis of clogged engine and requested return of bike. Shop owner, ****, then subjected us to verbal abuse including profanity and insults. He said could not reassemble until 6/1 and texted us **** of $557.82 cash and must sign goodwill form or pay reassembly labor. On 6/1 **** was not present despite notice that we were coming. His staff gave us the attached form, which essentially is to prevent negative reviews, and the ****. We did not agree and his staff then called him at our request and he again berated us. We stated we were willing to pay the $532 that was agreed upon for the repair, but refused to sign the form. He coerced us into signing by threatening to charge 4 hours labor ($440) or he would refuse to release bike. He then threatened storage fees and a lien on the bike. If we signed the form, then the charge would be $532 cash. We finally signed and paid the $532 because we just wanted to end this interaction and retrieve our bike, but we strongly believe these are not fair or honest business practices and must be prevented in the future. A reputable business would not attempt to silence their customers. I fear his A+ rating on this site is the result of suppression of reviews and complaints. They kept the bike for 8 weeks, replaced 4 parts, gave inaccurate information, tried to charge unauthorized labor, and left us with a broken bike and no accurate diagnosis. Given the aforementioned facts, we feel that this business deserves none of our money and should refund the $532 and change its business practices.

I am rejecting this response because:

I stand by my original posting.  I was kept informed at all steps of the interactions by my husband and we function as a team.  **** S did verbally assault and berate my husband with profanity on speaker phone.  My son and his staff heard also.  Im sorry **** is embellishing the truth.  His staff told us he was not at the shop when we picked up the scooter bc his car broke down and he was waiting for a tow truck.  Now he says he was at the hospital.  His staff was helpful and they know the truth about their boss.  The fact remains he extorted us into signing the goodwill form by threatening to charge inflated prices.  Im sorry, but it is not slander to tell the truth.  He needs to never force anyone to sign these goodwill forms again.  My posting should be printed.  It is the public's right to know about these unethical business practices.

It is also telling that the business owner did not respond after numerous queries by BBB until his A+ rating was removed.  Another sign that he is more concerned about ratings than providing good customer service.

      Sincerely,

      ***************
