  I took my ******** in to get braces. I was told by the office I had to sign a consent and financial consent. The kids mother was going to pay the bill. I was NEVER told that I didn't have legal right to sign the consent. The stepparent may NOT consent to medical treatment. I have no legal medical POA nor I'm I married to the child's dad. They put the bill on my credit. They also knew it was the kids mom that paid the deposit. I would like this off my credit and resolved.

  We were very unhappy with the orthodontic services provided by a tech who was very rough and aggressive with my 8 year old daughter, who was crying multiple times during the appointment and ended up bleeding from her lip at the end of the visit, which the tech told her she caused to herself. Her chart was open and in her chart open for me to see, it stated that "PATIENT DOES NOT LISTEN OR FOLLOW DIRECTIONS". I told the tech how unhappy I was with her treatment of my child and how offensive and discriminatory that was in her chart. I asked for the manager, who was not available. The orthodontist then arrived to defend the tech's actions and the statement in the chart. I explained my daughter has ADHD and that *** have contributed to her following directions, but we are always sitting right next to her to assist. The orthodontist then stated that her ADHD is why that comment was made in the chart, and it is important info. I explained I would like to transfer care. I was told I would talk to the finance manager about a refund for the rest of the services (8 months into treatment). She was then not available and would call me the next day. I called next day and was told she was at lunch and would call me right after. I did not receive call. I now have called the next business day with again, another message passed on with no call back. I have now asked for a call within the next **************************************************************************************************************************** for my daughter's records to be sent to her new orthodontist which also has not been done.
