We hired the above company to replace baseboards, replace trim on doors and 2 windows in the hall way, replace the existing stair railing with a new one, repair and texture the living room ceiling and repair walls. The first day on the job I informed Shawn that we decided we were not going to replace the window trim because it would not match any other windows in our home.He informed me that he intended to do all the windows but we never discussed that. They began tearing off the old baseboards and fixing the walls behind them. Before sanding the compound they installed the new baseboards. They only worked about 3 hours the first day.On the second day they finished installing the baseboards and trim.Shawn stood outside and smoked cigarettes and he said “He wanted his workers to get a full 8 hours.”After leaving Shawn had contacted us and let us know that in order to do the baseboards in the stairway he would have to tear out our entire staircase. We would not be able to use our upstairs for a few days.So we decided against that and just had him sand the baseboards and paint them.On the third day his workers, Andy and Bill asked if they could tear the stair railing apart, sand it, repaint it and reinstall it because our original stair railing was very similar to what we picked out for a new railing. They assured me that it would look very nice when finished. Shawn came and they discussed it with him. Shawn had to leave after about an hour because he needed to “babysit” his child who was sick. This day was spent sanding the stair railing. The 4th day Andy spent the day painting the stair railing while Shawn was texturing the ceiling. The last day they spent reinstalling the stair railing and “finishing touches” Upon arriving home from work we could not believe the mess they left. They put the railing together wrong and used caulking to fill in the gaps. The filled a crack in the ceiling with caulking and never sanded any of the joint compound. Our house is trashed!
