First payment was 1/2 for new windows/installation on 05/23/23 for $3000. The other $3000 was paid in cash on 10/04/23 for completion of work. $6000 total. He WILL NOT give me a papered receipt that I asked for. He sent me paid in full through text. I want a receipt in hand to write off on taxes. He's denying me. The other complaint is I had them do siding on my house along with paint my gutters, soffit and fascia. I paid $3900 upfront and owe them the other $3900. But I refuse to pay the other half because his painter got overspray on my metal roof I had installed this summer. His painter tried removing it with simple green and buffing pad. The buffing pad took it to the metal. My new roof is totally destroyed. I said I'll pay when they fix my roof. He's denying that he's responsible for any wrong doing. He claims he had nothing to do with it. He claims it's between me and his employee. I don't have a contract for the paint job which he mentioned over the phone. But I do have texts early on in our conversations that I hired his company for the paint job. He won't even give me warranty on the windows. So I don't know who to contact if something happens to a window. I want paper receipt for tax purposes and want my roof repaired for his employees negligence.
