This Giant Eagle did NOT honor all the prices on their 3 Day Sale Flyer and overcharged me by $18.58 on *********. The buy one get one free on the strawberries was NOT honored either. **************** woman said the manager would call me back regarding the issue but no call ever came. Im finding another grocery delivery service now because this is DECEPTIVE and WRONG!

A "one star rating" is too high!!!! On July 1, I had 2 clipped online coupons that would expire that day. I made a special trip to GE to use the coupons. The coupons were not deducted at checkout. Since the ONE AND ONLY CUSTOMER SERVICE rep was "on break", I called from my home. The rep said she had been told "once the quota is met, the coupons are pulled from the account," and suggested I contact "Corporate". The first "Corporate" person pretended to be shocked and said he would forward the situation to people of authority. He then transferred me to the "Tech Team" for the reason the coupons were not applied. The second person was NOT on the tech team, but issued a credit and indicated somebody from the tech team would call me. I laughed and said: "RIGHT!" I told him my response was to his statement that somebody would call me. When he reassured me I would get a call, I told him I will be contacting the Ohio AG's office if I did not hear from somebody in a reasonable time. (While this conversation was going on, the local rep was trying to call me.) I returned the call to the local GE, where the rep offered a credit to my account. I told her that Corporate was applying a credit. Neither the "tech team" nor Corporate ever called, so on July 15, I called the AG's office. Since I had been issued a credit, they could not help me, but referred me to the BBB, which said the same thing. HOWEVER, the BBB forwarded this form to me so that it could be posted online. I am so tired of GE's game playing!!! EVERY GE CUSTOMER MUST CHECK THEIR RECEIPTS AND REWARDS INFO AFTER EACH AND EVERY PURCHASE MADE AT A GIANT EAGLE. This complaint is NOT directed toward the employees but to "CORPORATE" staff. Get your act together before you find yourselves needing to close your stores...not that it would be a great loss to your customers, but your employees work VERY HARD to try to keep things running smoothly while trying to feed their families at your prices!!!

I was shopping at your store this morning and am furious at what I found to be a deceptive practice. In the produce section you have a large area where you have 3 baskets, one of zucchini, one of eggplant, and one of yellow squash. The sign says zucchini or yellow squash $1.79 lb. It does not list eggplant or its cost. The way you have this displayed it leads one to believe the eggplant is the same price as the squash. With my groceries I put an eggplant in the cart and completed my shopping. At the register I was charged $4.60 for that single eggplant. I asked the cashier to have the price checked. The produce girl came to the cashier and said the price was $2.99 per pound. I told the cashier, ************, to remove the eggplant from my order and that I believe this was a deceptive practice whereby many people may have bought an eggplant and if not watching the slip, paid more than they would have if aware of the $2.99 cost. For customers, it is difficult enough to navigate prices, but when stores make it all the more deceptive, we have to consider shopping at places that we can trust aren't trying to pull a fast one. Please change this practice. I will stop back in your store at another time and check to see if you have corrected this deception.

Defermation of Character and my personal health has been violated by the pharmacist on duty yesterday 4/7/24. I have filled a complaint with the **************** of **** on him and also plan to reach out for legal advice. The pharmacist on duty has attacked my health issues and I plan to have this investigated. The staff that normally is on duty is very respectful and kind. This individual proceeded to antagonize me causing me anxiety and duress .

Please be aware when you use your advantage pay. Pay close attention to your bank account! I got gas and on the same day my bank closed my account for 24 hrs to review a separate charge. The gas charge was held up for the 24 hrs. No warning from giant eagle. A quick email would have been helpful. Giant eagle couldve resubmitted it next day. The card administrator immediately submitted it to Check Redi for collection. Heres the scam!!!! Check Redi charges you $50 on top of the Original charge. Guess what Check Redi sent me a txt for payment!! Nothing from GE. They SAY they will accept a letter from your bank to prove your account was closed due to fraud and they will drop the $50 charge. I submitted a bank letter that showed the account was closed for 24 hrs.The letter wasnt good enough evidence. Had the bank reword it and added an account summary of available funds NOPE not good enough!!! Oh yea Check Redi submitted my account to another collection agency. So me and my entire family have and will continue to kick the eagle to the curb.

This Giant Eagle is the absolute worst. The store is filthy and produce is literally rotting. Curbside pickup takes 15-30 minutes once you arrive. Today I went in just to get something from the deli. No worker to be found. I asked someone by the prepared food if they could assist. The employee rudely said the only deli worker was in a break. I tried to ask when someone would be back but was ignored and the employee walked away as I was talking. I went to the customer service desk and asked if someone could assist. I mentioned the person I spoke to in prepared food was rude. The person at the customer service desk said yeah Im not surprised. Zero resolution.

I recently had a deeply unsatisfactory experience at Giant Eagle that has left me feeling frustrated and let down by their customer service. I purchased a money order from Giant Eagle, and unfortunately, I had to return it for personal reasons. Armed with my receipt and expecting a straightforward process, I was shocked when the store refused to accept the return. The lack of consistency and understanding in Giant Eagle's return policy is beyond disappointing. As a loyal customer, I assumed that returning a money order purchased from the same store would be a hassle-free procedure, especially when armed with a receipt. However, the staff at Giant Eagle were uncooperative and unwilling to assist me. The fact that Giant Eagle, a store that prides itself on customer satisfaction, refused to accept the return of their own product raises serious concerns about their commitment to customer service. The inconvenience and frustration caused by this incident have left me questioning whether I can trust Giant Eagle for future transactions. Moreover, the unhelpful attitude of the staff during this ordeal only added to my disappointment. A company of Giant Eagle's stature should prioritize customer satisfaction and demonstrate flexibility in resolving issues. Unfortunately, my experience suggests otherwise. I would caution potential customers to think twice before engaging in financial transactions, especially involving money orders, at Giant Eagle. The lack of a reasonable return policy and the uncooperative attitude of the staff have tarnished my perception of the store's commitment to customer service, and I am left with a negative impression that will undoubtedly influence my future shopping decisions.

The weekly ad for vitamins stated that a customer could buy one and get one free. Our community has two stores. I went to the one closest to me the day after the ad was in effect. The item I wanted wasn't in stock, but the shelf had a tag in its space indicating the ad price for that item. I returned the next day and the space was still not stocked. When I asked the clerk at the pharmacy who was stocking shelves whether she had more in stock, she said no. So after I asked whether the store was getting more in before the sale ended, she again said no. I then inquired whether *************** might have them, and she said maybe and told me to call them. When I did that, that store also didn't have any available. All of this one day after the sale ran.

I have bought meat from them, and twice now I received spoiled meat. Their produce is awful. And their prices are comparable to higher end grocery stores. Drive the extra mile and go to the ************** store.
