Have complained over many years about oil usage with my 2015 VW ******. Was assured by John it was normal. Took car in again on May 12,2022 for oil usage. John said he contacted my warranty company and they suggested an oil test wich I had to pay for an oil change to do. Picked car up that night , Nothing said. Saturday, May 14, 2022 I checked my email, was an inspection video from mechanic stating and showing an oil leak around oil pan. Went back Monday confronted John about it. Said again he would contact my warranty company. Received a phone call from a Tony, from the dealership basically saying to trade my car in for a new one and be deceitful to whom ever was going to buy the car. Contacted my warranty company for information about where to take the car and they told me, Young VW never contacted them for anything. That night my check engine light came on displaying 14 codes. Took it to precision auto and deisel as per warranty co., the car needed a tune up which Young Vw supposedly did about 29993 miles prior. Precision auto said there is no way Young VW changed the spark plugs. Tune ups are performed every 80,000 miles. I am seeking reimbursement for the oil change, the price of both tune ups .

To whom it may concern, I am replying back to *****************'s complaint. ***** was at our dealership on 05/12/2022 and her complaint was that the Vehicle used 1 qt of oil. VW allows 1 qt of oil in 1200 miles to be acceptable. In order to see if the car is within range VW says to do an oil consumption test which requires the customer to perform an oil change service. After 630 miles of driving part 2 of the test needed to be done. She did not return for that nor for her oil leak that the tech made a video for that she did receive. Maybe the other garage performed that repair. As per ***** coming in for her 80,000 mile service on 09/30/2020 we did do all the work for that service including all above parts listed on the ro. i did tell ***** that if she's not happy with her car to trade it in. I guess in her mind that she should tell whoever she trades the car in to tell them everything that's wrong with the car. I did not tell her to be deceitful. When people trade in cars they don't say anything. Young VW has always been honest with customers . i will upload ro's . Any questions please call me at ************. *************************** (*********** Volkswagen) formally Young VW

      To whom it may concern,

We fully understand **. *****'s concerns regarding her 2012 GMC Terrain.  After **. *****'s original concern Young VW Inc covered the cost to have the vehicle serviced by a local GMC dealer (11/2/2021-11/6/2021).  Please note that this repair was not covered by the 3 month powertrain warranty provided with the vehicle purchase, therefore the cost of this repair was incurred by Young VW Inc.  Following this service the stabilitrak light was off and the vehicle was returned to the customer (11/6/2021).  ************** did not call with any other concerns of warning lights being on for multiple months after that repair.  The cause of the warning light at this point would be unrelated to the previous repair considering the length of time between concerns.
Young VW Inc is willing to cover the cost to have the vehicle diagnosed again at the local GMC dealer.  Young VW Inc will contact the customer and the local GMC dealer to schedule accordingly.  Young VW Inc does not agree to pay for any repairs at this time, only diagnosis.  After diagnosis is completed Young VW Inc may or may not assist customer with repair expense.
      Kind regards,
      Ted C*******

I am rejecting this response because:
I’m getting the same engine light and I made them aware of the next business day. It’s been doing the same thing off and on since then. I want to open a case against the dealership for a lemon law. This isn’t right when the light came on the very night after purchasing it.I have it there several times for the same thing and it’s still going on. They can give me back my money so I purchase a another car when I feel safe.

      Regards,

      *******,

We feel that we are being more than fair with our offer for a "no charge" diagnosis of her complaint. However, in the spirit of trying to resolve the matter, Young VW Mazda would also be willing to assist her with trading the vehicle on another vehicle here since it was stated that she felt unsafe with her current vehicle.  Greg Y****, the Used Car Manager, can be contacted at ********************** or email him at ******************@youngcars.net. Greg is also willing to reach out to the customer to make the offer as well, so I instructed him to do so. At this point, we feel that this offer is our best and final offer and would like nothing more than an amicable and fair outcome for all parties involved.

      Sincerely,

      Ted C********

Our Sales Representative was supposed to call her and get her credit card information but he's been off work for a few weeks.  Our Used Car Sales Manager spoke to her on January 7th and obtained her credit card information.  Our cashier processed a credit card refund today, January 7, 2022 at 1:55 pm.
