I have hired Ed ********************** on quite a few home projects since moving to ***** 27 years ago. With the lowest job being $1400 and the highest $10k+. I have found the quality of his work over the years to be inconsistent and his behavior in addressing repairs to poor quality work to being dismissive, giving me the run around and most recently hanging up on me when I expressed displeasure in his poor customer service in addressing a repair of cement work he did a year ago. I reached out to him via text regarding this repair on Feb 15th including pictures. I also request an estimate on some additional work i wanted done. He said he would come look at the step but never showed. I called him a month later in March and his excuse for not coming was the weather was too cold for him to do the repairs or the requested new work and for me to. all him again in the Spring. I called him a month later in April after the weather changed as he requested and his new excuse was he was backed up on a big job and for me to call him on 5/7. I call him today to inform him I will be working in ******** to get a sense if he would be coming by in the morning or later in the afternoon. He continued to avoid giving me a definitive day and time he would come asking me to. call him again on Wednesday. I expressed that I didnt appreciate having to chase him and his reply was quote, Then dont chase me or. call me again before hanging up the phone. His behavior was disrespectful and unprofessional. I will be making a formal complaint to the BBB after this review and reporting this contractor to my local borough. If the repair work is not done I will consult an attorney to pursue further legal action.
