I have been trying to cancel my automatic membership for 6 months. I have reached out by phone, email, and Instagram and have received no response. I was charged again for the automatic renewal and have been on the phone for 3 hours trying to reach a representative with no success. I would like a refund for this month's charge and cancelation of the account.Customer response

Hi its ********* *****. I received an email from bookspan today that they are going to close the account and submit a refund once I informed them I had contacted BBB. So Im hoping the issue is resolved.Business response

I was a previous subscriber of Doubleday book club, and cancelled my subscription years ago. They have begun relentlessly sending me marketing emails for the last year, which I have unsubscribed to multiple times over the past few months. I have also replied to a couple of their emails asking them to stop emailing me, instead they are emailing even more frequently. I just want them to go away.Business response

For some reason, the complainant's account was never closed. I closed the account and and sent an email of confirmation on 7/11. I have yet to hear back.
