I hired HT Renovations to complete 2 phases of renovations. Phase 1 tear up carpet in 2 bedrooms, hallway, & bathroom patch drywall, remove wallpaper, repaint walls, install vinyl plank flooring and a toilet. They did not tear off the wallpaper but painted over it. Hard wood floors were discovered under the carpet. I kept the hardwood floors and did not use the already purchased vinyl plank flooring for the 2 bedrooms & hallway In their own words "you are saving $500 in materials for not using the plank vinyl flooring". They cleaned & ****** oil soaped the wood floors. The bedroom still has uncleaned white specks on the floor. They installed a new garage door opener & a new outlet without running a grounding wire supposedly saving me $600. A 20 year established electrician ran grounding wire for 3 new outlets & new fuse box for $1,400. It is not in writing that the unused vinyl plank flooring material & no labor for not removing wallpaper is a trade for a $600 outlet. Phase 2 the contractors never followed through on meetings saying "we did not forget you". I could not be home the day they wanted, but I offered other days. On 12/6/21 I signed a end contract that documented that they returned my $2000 deposit for Phase 2, but the end contract did not include giving back any supplies. On 12/6/21 they came to my house, swore, yelled & refused to leave the house after I asked them 5 times because they wanted the vinyl plank flooring that I paid & did not use in Phase 1. They demanded $1000 for me to keep the supplies or return them and then they started looking for them after I said to leave. They wanted to look for the 2nd toilet & I shouted no. I was scared of them & upset that the 1st toilet leaked & ruined my downstairs carpet. To be fair, HT Renovations can reimburse me $500 or 170 sqf flooring from Phase 1; I return the toilet from Phase 2 OR they can reimburse me $400 or 170 sqf flooring & I keep the toilet. On 12/7/21 & 12/10/21 I reported them to the police.

this emails and response of a complaint we had. ********* ******  We've done work for her before we had several contracts we completed already She asks us to reschedule several times we already had a major job book we had to get to too we refunded her money that she deposited us for a new contract Which was $2000 she gave us a deposit I tried to explain to her that it wasn't gonna work the timing and that if she was willing to wait until February we could get to her that wasn't good enough So we refunded her money. In the material that we took was for the phase that we were going to start we had it staged at her house. Which was only 2 cases of flooring and a toilet we left the toilet and took the 2 cases of  Flooring We try to be professional as possible As far as her claims that we cursed at her my business partner did say XXXX not at her but trying to describe something and that was after she had already cussed at me. We bent over backwards trying to accommodate this lady At the end of the day I wanted to give her the deposit back  and just move on.

       Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

I hired HT Renovations for home repairs in 2 phases. The 1st phase contract was to replace carpet with vinyl plank flooring, but hardwood floors were discovered and the vinyl plank flooring was never laid and stored at my house along with a toilet. I was never compensated for the flooring that was not laid in the 2 bedrooms and hallway purchased with my money along with they did not strip the wallpaper before painting. In August I sent them a list of items that needed fixed and the toilet leaked into my laundry room ruining items.  Because of timing disputes and HT Renovations not performing quality work the 2nd phase was canceled. I signed a contract saying that my deposit was returned, but nothing in the contract about returning the vinyl plank flooring and toilet that my money purchased in Phase 1 that was not used or labor to lay the vinyl plank flooring. On 12/6/21 the contractors yelled and swore at me in my own house, I asked the contractors to leave 5 times and they refused to leave and started searching for the vinyl plank flooring. They said the materials cost $1000.00. I refused to pay because the materials were not included in the final contract I signed and the contractors left with the materials. I was scared by how they would not leave when I asked them and I found out that Mr. H***** had been previously arrested for domestic violence. I called the East Pennsboro Police (Officer ****) and told him everything that happened. Officer **** did speak to the contractors on 12/9/21. I am seeking $500.00 monetary restitution for the materials not used in Phase 1 and $500.00 for the unfinished and inferior work that I will have to pay someone else that they messed up in Phase 1 that caused toilet water to leak into my laundry room, plank flooring in the bathroom separating, toilet paper roll not being anchored with a hole in the wall, not caulking areas in the bathroom, sealing paint or mold in my office hardwood floors with ****** oil soap, and breaking the shower cold water spicket.  I also reattached the contracts.  I tried to work with HT Renovations to come and complete the work, but as you can read from the text messages they never returned phone calls or kept their word with meetings.  Also I gave them a list of things to fix in August and they never came to fix them shown in text messages sent in August 2021.

      Regards,

      ********* ******
