I had my roof replaced in Sept 2021. I have a very low slope porch, so you can't see that part of the roof unless you're looking from above. Because of that I didn't notice until I was cleaning out the gutters this past weekend, that they put an ENTIRELY DIFFERENT COLOR OF ROOF SHINGLE OVER MY FRONT PORCH!!!! Black instead of Brown and it looks TERRIBLE!!!! because it doesn't match at ALL. This is even though that type of shingle is available in the same color as the rest of my roof. Riddick Roofing probably figured I'd never see it and couldn't care less about my money or my house so they just put what they had on the front porch. I am asking that they replace the front porch shingles with the CORRECT COLOR at NO CHARGE as this is 100% on them for lying and deceiving me. I've contacted them but they said they "fulfilled their contractual obligation", which is of course a LIE as they could have put the correct color on but simply didn't care enough to do the job right the first time. They also left my attic a MESS with huge wood splinters covering the attic floor.

We are aware of the complaint filed by ****************  During the replacement of his roof, it was determined that the front porch roof slope was too low to install architectural shingles as per manufacturers specifications.  The correct roofing material for the front porch roof slope was the ***** ******* Low Deck Seal.  Since we did not identify the slope as being too low for standard shingles during the estimating process, the upgrade to low deck seal was installed at no charge to the customer.  Black is the standard color for low deck seal.  Specialty colors do exist, however, the production of specialty colors were limited or completely halted in an attempt to meet the demand for the most popular colors with limited staff and raw material availability.  This has all been explained to ****************  Despite the fact that he was not charged at all for the low deck seal, we were still willing to discuss a resolution that would satisfy ****************  Unfortunately due to his treatment of our staff and crew, we are not willing to have them return to home and subject them to the insults about their intelligence and physical attributes.  We would prefer to come to an agreement that does not involve in person interaction with *************** and we are waiting for a response to that request at this time.   As far as the comments about wood splinters in the attic.  *************** had a significant amount of deteriorated plywood that needed to be replaced.  We made every effort to replace the deteriorated plywood in as careful and clean process as possible.  We also significantly reduced the price for plywood replacement that was agreed upon on the contract for ****************  This reduction in plywood replacement pricing was given by Riddick Roofing prior to any complaint about the debris.  We reduced the price due to ******************* complaint about needing to pay the agreed upon pricing for the plywood replacement.  We have also had complaints from *************** about the appearance of our invoices and the warranty documentation from ***** ******* which we did our best to change the appearance of to better suit his expectations.

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the response. If no reason is received your complaint will be closed as Answered]

       Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

I want to be refunded the amount it will cost me to have the CORRECT Low Slope put on by a reputable company.  Believe me I don't want these people anywhere near my property after what they pulled.  ZERO respect for ME , my house or my money......I ask these people, How would YOU feel if this happened to YOU??? $11,000 and you can't even be bothered to COMMUNICATE????  Despite what they say Black is NOT the standard color and the SAME color that the rest of my roof IS available.  Call ***** Corning if you don't believe me.  Riddick Roofing explained NOTHING TO ME, other than needing to replace the plywood which I had no problem with.  ABSOLUTELY NOTHING was explained to me about the low slope shingle UNTIL I found out about it SEVEN MONTHS later when I was cleaning out my gutters.

Attached is the **** **** Low Slope Shingle Brochure which shows that Desert Tan is an available color and NOTHING is mentioned about black being the "standard color"
