I have been a subscriber to advent security since 2004. I pay a semi annual fee of $195.30 in April and October each year to have my house monitored for security services. When our house alarm is set off, Advent security is to immediately call my cell phone number on record to alert me to the alarm and verify if we are safe, if there is no answer, they are supposed to reach out to our local police department to dispatch a police officer to the house to check on it. We recently noticed that when the alarm was set off, we were no longer being contacted by advent security to verify if there was a problem or if the alarm was set off by accident. When i reached out to Advent to inquire about this issue, i was shocked and surprised to learn that the company was no monitoring our home, yet they continued to collect payments from us. As it turns out, they had not been monitoring our home for almost 2 years, meanwhile they continued to collect $567 in monitoring service premiums. They claim to have stopped monitoring when our home telephone line service with comcast was canceled in December of 2020. They never notified us that they were no longer monitoring our house, yet to this day continue to bill us for services that are not being provided. I would like a refund of the $567 that we have paid in monitoring fees during the time they were not monitoring. The billing breakdown for fees paid were $195.30 in April 2022, $186 paid in October 2021 and $186 paid in April 2021.
