I received a bill from ****, April 2023 Regarding date of service 4/8/22 for my son. At the date of service he only had Health Partners insurance and this bill hasn’t been paid as of todays date. I’m presently on the verge of going to collections. The problem is that we moved to SC in August 2022 and our son didn’t have SC insurance until 11/2022 But Health Partners is saying that his SC insurance is primary and it was effective 1/1/22, but that is not possible because we still lived in PA on 1/1/22 I got proof from SC insurance that insurance didn’t start until 11/2022 and faxed it to Health Partners on 4/17/23 I have been calling Health Partners weekly since I received this bill in April 2023 I really don’t know what the problem is I gave them everything they requested and it still isn’t resolved. I even spoke with supervisors as well. I need help to get this bill paid. I’m very desperate. Thanks!Business response

Health Partners Plans reviewed the member’s *** profile in our Claims System again which showed the member having primary insurance with **** effective 1/1/2022. Health Partners Plans’ Claims Department followed up with our *** Unit to confirm this information. However, they were unable to confirm if this information was accurate. Therefore, the member’s *** profile has been updated as it couldn’t be confirmed if **** was active on 4/8/22, the Date of Service at issue.
The claim 2022041302239 in question has been reprocessed for payment on 9/20/2023 with Health Partners Plans as primary.
I contacted the member’s head of household, (**** *******) by phone on 9/20/2023 to advise her of this resolution. She could not be reached so a voicemail was left with my contact information.

Heath partners does not allow for online payments if you receive their services through ****, not do they allow for online payments. Since signing up with their company for my kids insurance needs they have sent invoices late, and not at all. I have called to voice this to them and nothing has been done to resolve it. They printed my recent invoice (due July 1st) on June 17th, and didn’t post it until June 27th, where I received it June 30th. I called and was told again they can’t do online payments. They can online do check or money order or they can send me a form to fill out and mail back to do auto payments each month.
