On 4/29/2022 I went into the 7/11 on Bigelow square connected to the hotel to put money on a pre paid card. First I want to mention that the plexi glass shield is at the counter but the machine used for credit cards is to the right with no plexiglass. So I hand the employee my card at the counter but have to move to my right to use the machine to confirm the information. Once the transaction is complete instead of the employee handing me the card he just loaded with hundreds of money he puts it on the counter to my left where all these other customers were standing. It was so obvious he was trying to set me up to get robbed, putting that card near men to run off with instead of handing it safely to the young lady. When I asked him to hand me the card he said well your supposed to be standing at the counter so that’s why I put it on the counter, but how am I supposed to be standing at the counter when the machine I have to use to confirm my information is 4 feet away. I know a set up and I’m telling you this was a set up for someone to run off that card the way he SO OBVIOUSLY did not want me to have the card in my possession. This guy is working at a 7/11 connected to a hotel, people rushing to the airport who don’t have the time to run back for their card they may have left behind because this employee would rather set them up to get robbed than ensure their safety. And the worst is their was just a card copying scheme at the 7/11 atm on Brookline blvd where someone went to target atm & withdrew thousands of dollars from people. So if you have obvious theft at the Brookline atm then an employee at the bigelow square 7/11 doesn’t want to give a customer their debit card they just loaded up with money there’s a problem going on at the the Pittsburgh area 7/11 and it’s the employees setting up the patrons.
