This company was to finish the job in a few days. it has been a few months. few attempts has been made to do some work, but obvious that the contractor has contracted for work he has no knowledge. There is some concrete work it is defective and contractor promised to repair. It has not and may not be able to be fixed. the contractor has promised grading the land it is obvious he does not know how to do it. it has attempted a few time but refuse to show that the slop properly created. it has promised to point a wall it has not done it again because he has not done such job before. even his attempts are unsuccessful. railings are not done and in fact until concrete work is not repaired or re done the railing cannot be done. He has written email on the step by step duty he has but refuses basically because this man has never done such jobs. Probably he thought I am an older woman and foreign I will just pay him just because he screams and insults.Business response

I met with **** **** today per her request. As I had expected, the conversation was unreasonable. She offered $7000 for a project the agreed price was $27500.
I will be filing legal action against her as I can prove the entirety of the agreement is satisfied. Below is the contract. And photos with explanation. You can upload the response I give here in conjunction with the response from yesterday. Thank you.
As you can note. The agreement wasn’t even signed until 2/15/24.
As of 4/19/24 the work was entirely completed. Here are the photos to show.
Noted as “Stairs with railing” on the agreement.
Complete.
Regrade and seed of left side. Including top soil and drainage trench.
Noted as retaining wall window well. Left side.
Noted as back yard regrading. And 11x16 concrete pad in the back. Where you will also see railings were removed from the remaining concrete pad. With the new pad and steps poured.
It looks stained. It’s just mud. She refused to the the crew wash it off or use her water. If cleaned off, the concrete is well done.
Noted as regrading of right side of yard. Including sidewalk and 11’ of concrete stairs including a railing to the stairs.
Noted as additional photos of the stairs including the railing.
With the concrete landing and level with the driveway. Including grading of the front yard as well. With seed.
Noted as crack injection repoint and walls of brick painted yellow.
As you can clearly see. The entire contract shows as fulfilled. Every single aspect.
***** **** agreement with Steel City Waterstoppers and Foundation Repair was not signed and agreed to until 2/16/24. This project was an exterior project that involved a large concrete project and regrading of the property while including drainage and various other aspects of work. Being that the work was to be completed outside, concrete work requires temperatures to be warm enough and also rain to not happen for several days. In western PA, the weather has been very rainy, historically wet so far this year, and cold well into the middle of April as we sit here today. As of today, 4/20/24, the project has been completed in its entirety. ***** **** has been difficult to deal with from the beginning. She agreed to the original project and pricing, and days later decided she wanted to change the price of the work to be less, while also adding numerous additional portions to the project. You can view our email correspondence back and forth where she kept adding more and more things to be completed that were never agreed to. Being mindful of this, Steel City tried to facilitate as many of her requests as possible, though we are not contractually obligated to do so. No payment has been received for this project at all, and the total Contract price of $28660 was later changed to $27500 per her requests after the contract had been finalized and work had already begun. As of 4/20/24 no payment of any type has been received and ***** **** is being very difficult to deal with. I do not feel this is a fair complaint against Steel City. Please review the documents uploaded.Thank you.
