My handgun was purchased through ******.com and purchased through ***** ********************** on 4/21/2022.FFL prohibits all purchases be shipped to an authorized dealer, Smith's Guns & Ammo. Mr. Smith contacted me on or April 25, 2022, to that the item had arrived and i need to finalize the transaction. Upon arriving at the store and viewing the item I was surprised of the size of the item. Mr. Smith offered to sell the item in question for me. Several weeks later i telephone Mr. Smith on the status of the transaction. He mentioned, someone placed a downpayment on the item. Weeks went by and I stopped into the shop for a status update and the item remained on layaway for someone else. June 19,2023 again I stopped by the shop for another status update, Mr., Smith apprised me the item was purchased by someone else, and he was unable to provide me with the cost of the item nor was i financially compensated for selling my item. He went on to say that his daughter was responsible for handling transactions, and he would contact me with his findings. Weeks again went by after failed attempts by phone to speak with him with no luck. I've exhausted all attempts to resolve this matter between us and now I'm asking for your assistance.Business response

We received a complaint from a ******************************* and went back to pull his receipt along with the adjoining selling receipt today. We sold his firearm for $200 including taxes, so after our 15% consignment fee and storage fees (because of how long it took to sell), we'll be writing a check to him for the amount of $125. Respectfully, we also request that he no longer do business with us as this could've been handled with a phone call seeing as this was obviously something that slipped through the cracks during peak COVID business craziness. If there's anything else you need at all, please let me know.

I made numerous phone calls to Smith Ammo and left messages for a returned phone call. I spoke with him several times and he never returned my calls with no update status. I had no choice but to reach out to BBB for your intervention in this matter. I'm disappointed that I had to go about this in this manner.

good morning, I did respond to your initial email. I also read Smith Ammo response. I'm waiting for the check to resolve this matter.
