ON August the 24th 2022 Rossi Rooter was called out to fix a leak in an upstairs bathroom at ***** ****** church in Scranton,, on whos behalf i'm filing this complaint. They removed a toilet and began to snake out the drain. The snake got stuck and they couldn't remove it. They said they couldn't remove their snake and had no way to reach the drain from underneath because our celing underneath was too high. Then they said they are walking away from the job and we should call another plumber. They left the toilet dissconected and their snake still in the drain.

We were out on 08/24/22, We needed to remove toilet to be able to get snake in the lines, the way the lines run the snake got stuck. The way the lines run they go up thru the ceiling. We explained only way to get to lines is to use scissors jack, we were told the do not want scissors jack on tile floors. We exhausted of off our options, Did suggest two other plumbers who may of had a way to unblock drain. Without using Scissor jack, could not unblock drain. Please advise, did they get snake removed from toilet?Tell us why here...

       Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because: If the pipe in the ceiling had been broken before the snake was inserted there would have been a rapid down fall of water and not a slight drip whenever the upstairs toilet had been used. we are currently accepting bids on repairing all problems.  one bid to remove snake left in pipe left by Rossi and repair any damage caused by the snake. And another bid to  fix the original problem, which was a leak in our upstairs bathroom. Once we have accepted a bid to have the snake left by Rossi removed and fix any damage deemed to have been caused by the snake we would expect full compensation  from Rossi Router for said repairs.

      Regards,

      Dear *** *******:

Please be advised that I represent Rossi Rooter in the above-referenced matter. Reference is made to your letters to my client dated: October 7, 2022; October 17, 2022; November 21, 2022; and December 6, 2022. Please forward any future communication to me.
My client's version of the events leading to this Complaint have been well documented to BB via several email responses to BBB. On August 24, 2022, *** ****'s contacted Rossi Rooter regarding a leak and blockage in a commode on the third floor of a very old building. Rossi Rooter pulled the commode and attempted to snake the line to relieve the blockage, and, in that attempt the snake got stuck in the pipe on the second floor leading from the third floor to the first floor. Rossi employees tried to remove the snake, however, due to the layout of the old plumbing, that could not be successfully completed. This was thoroughly explained to *** ****'s.
Rossi Rooter explained to *** ****'s that in order to remove the snake from the second floor (Twenty (20') feet above the first floor, a scissors lift would be required. *** ****'s rejected that alternative.. Rossi Rooter then advised that scaffolding would be an alternative to reach the blocked snake to remove it. Again, *** *****'s rejected that alternative.
After having both alternatives, Rossi Rooter never received any further communication from *** ****'s until it received your October 7, 2022 letter advising of a complaint. Despite several email communications to BBB, the only communication Rossi Rooter received were rejections of it's explanations.
There is a vast difference of opinion on this matter, and it is extremely unfair for *** ****'s and BBB to tarnish the reputation of my client. Any further attempts to damage Rossi Rooter's business reputation will be defended in any court of competent jurisdiction. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

      Very Truly Yours:
      **** ** ****** **., Esq.
