I purchased a set of practice exams from Exam Edge for $59.17 on 9/11/2023 (order ******) in preparation for the CBIC's "Certification in Infection Control" examination. I did this because I was seeking additional material to supplement the exam producer's published study guide as well as material from Mometrix and APIC that I have already studied. The material in the Exam Edge test is mostly irrelevant and off topic and is not of any value to someone preparing for the *** exam. It is more of a distraction because the questions often do not pertain to Infection Prevention and Control. I am assuming this test was written by some poorly designed AI program and hope that Exam Edge takes it off of the market as it is definitely false advertising. I am not sure what to say at this point; this customer was provided a full refund a week ago. We try our best to provide the best possible content, but occasional things happen. As soon as the client made us aware of the issue they were provided a full refund. Here is a copy of their refund letter:

I purchased a practice test from Exam Edge for the Physics Content test, as a last practice test before the real test. I have been studying for months, using the official practice test from ETS (provider of the praxis tests), as well as a few other companies (********, etc.). The questions on the Exam Edge test are TERRIBLE! They are almost completely irrelevent to the test content, which is clearly stated by ETS. They have many questions that are purely chemistry questions, and also many questions that you need a calculator for (which is prohibited on the test).Business response

The website is very misleading and makes false claims. They guarantee 100% passing rate. I bought a bundle of tests and took all the test performing very well. I took my certification and failed. The questions from exam edges bank are nothing like the certification exam and are of very poor quality. I also got numerous duplicate questions. I dont understand how a website can guarantee 100% pass rate when their questions are of poor quality and are nothing like the actual exam. Their content did not help me at all for my exam in which I failed. I took all my exams more than once and passed all of them I would like a refund or access to all 40 practice tests free of costs for my retest.Business response

I have to say you have been one of the most unique complaints we have ever seen. Your first email said we were the worst company on the planet, and our questions were terrible and no help in passing your exam. Interestingly, you were demanding access to 40 tests to prepare for your exam. Why would you want more exams if they were so bad?
We researched your account and discovered you took all the tests in study guide mode, where you can see the answers as you take the test. You never once ran them in testing mode to see if you were ready to take your exam.
We suggested you retake the test in the proper mode and offered you 5 complimentary tests. Your reply was, I want access to the 40 questions. Again, if they are so bad, why did you want 40 exams?
It was clear we would not be able to satisfy you, so we refunded your money, even though our refund policy clearly states you were not eligible for a refund. Once you received the refund, your access to the tests you did not like was revoked. Your response was that you wanted a refund but did not return the product and demanded your access. Then you started to threaten to post negative reviews wherever you could:
Ill continue to leave reviews on any page I can find how your questions and program dont lead to success. And when asked for more questions free at cost to supplement having to take the test again, youll only offer a refund. Worst company and customer service ever. Ive already wrote two reviews And filed with the BBB, will continue to write reviews on this experience, the false advertising and the poor customer service. .
Again, you wanted access to a bad product and were resorting to extortion to try and get extra exams.

I tried contacting them. As per the website it says clearly that it is for the certification of Canada and for PEBC. Bought the package of 2200 questions. Upon starting question bank it has the database of the questions of USA which is not being asked in my certification. So it has been useless. I tried for refund or correct their mistake. No reply from them. As per seen in description clearly says for PEBC which on questions it's not Canada based since the laws are completely different.Business response

I purchased a bundle of 5 practice tests in preparation for the **** Certification in Infection Prevention and Control from Exam Edge for $56.75. The company claims to help people pass their examinations by preparing them with exam-similar questions. I have the official study guide for the exam and have taken practice tests by the company that hosts the exam and am very familiar with the type of questions that I can expect on the exam. The practice tests from Exam Edge are a waste of time and money. There are numerous spelling errors, content issues, the questions are often difficult to understand because they are poorly written, and they are in no way comparable to the actual test questions on the *** exam. This was a ripoff. I would be concerned for anyone using this as a test prep strategy. The questions are simplistic and not at all helpful in preparing for the real test. I paid $104 USD approximately to ExamEdge September 9th. The website states that they guarantee success based on high quality practice exam questions. This statement is very misleading and the exam questions are of very poor quality and are useless. I gave my money under false pretenses and am asking the company for a refund.I am also submitting a complaint so others are not taken in by this website.Business response

I purchased study materials from Exam Edge hoping to learn more. I will say I purchased it in June and hadn’t been using it due to fear of failing again. The more questions I answered the more I got wrong. There were answers that when researched, could not be found and some answers were not correct according to my professor and the study materials I was using prior to purchasing their exams. I’ve been using reputable study materials like the **** ***** Social Work ASWB Clinical Exam Guide which is recommended by ASWB. This is the Association Social Work Board. I feel frustrated, misled, and this has created more second guessing within myself. I just wanted to sit and cry due to the money I spent in hopes to build my knowledge. I wish I would’ve came here and read reviews about Exam Edge before spending money I couldn’t afford but need to pass my exam for a promotion. I hope you can help me resolve this issue financially. Exam Edge charged our credit card 4 charges in the middle of the night and we have never heard of them. They are either a fraudulent company scamming people's identities or have absolutely terrible business practices. Either way they owe us a total of $504.24 plus bank overdraft fees!!! We are very sorry to hear you had fraudulent transactions on your credit card. We only process transactions that the credit card company has approved. There is no way for us to know your credit card was stolen; as long as the credit company approves the transaction, we treat it as a valid sale. We searched the database, and your name or email address is not associated with any accounts or orders. You will need to contact your credit card company and report your card as being stolen; they will take care of the rest.
Once again, we are sorry to hear you have fraudulent charges on your card. I can assure you none of these transactions were initiated by Exam Edge. We do everything we can to protect our clients from events like this. That is why we do not save any credit card data or other finance-related information. II purchased the maximum number of practice exams from this company for $47.47 to prepare for a state certification test to teach in Texas. I spent many hours taking and reviewing the exams only to discover that they did not cover or adequately prepare me for the test. I contacted the company for a refund and was told by email that someone would contact me soon. (no one from this company has contacted me) Below is the exchange of communication. Purchased the ** handbook for assistance practicing for said examination. The questions are written for technologists (this word is mentioned in both questions and answers), and does not provide the knowledge or prepare the student AT ALL for their ** boards. These questions are overly simplistic, frequently incorrect/outdated, and does NOT adequately prepare the student. I doubt the veracity of the reviews left for this product, as every single student I've spoken with feels that this is a complete waste of money. A bait-and-switch for students preparing for a medical examination board seems predatory, dishonest, and WRONG. Shame on Exam Edge for even pretending to have student's best interests at heart.Business response

With that being said, we believe if you were dissatisfied with the content and did not feel it represented the actual exam, you would have known that in the first exam or two. In fact, you took all five tests, and you even took two of them twice, so we do not believe a refund is warranted.
