Bathroom addition built 2017, end of court case 10/2022 (in my favor)No sectional blueprint of the addition. This was a problem during and after build -It was brought to ROR's attention that the roof slope was NOT what was discussed. It was 0.5" flat. The material quoted was for roof w 4" slope. Complaint was shut down with "it will be fine" "Water will flow off it" Two months after build, roof leaked into bathroom. This lasted for 18+ months until I paid a dependable roofer to fix with proper material and installation. Unfortunately slope could not be fixed and I'm stuck with flat roof. No leaks since it was properly repaired. During time of leak, ROR would come and try to figure where it was coming from. Assumed it was coming from MY house roof but it was never proven because they never removed any of the work they did connecting the house to the addition to visually see water coming in. **** appeared in my house via light fixture in middle of ceiling and down the pipe of the vent through the roof. (hole had been made in my ceiling for 16+ mo) To stop the leak, they caulked my house roof (metal shingles) and damaged that roof. They ran tests that proved nothing. Their solution? NONE, until my lawyer notified them. Nothing about cleaning the mold or repairing the ceiling. This was considered a "favor" by the roofer. Issues with the build: Entrance to shower was built small enough that you had to turn sideways to get in the shower (even for a teen) Home wasn't protected when cutting through the wall to the addition. Came home to dust all over everything. they did not clean it up. ROR thought it was ok to install torn window screen. Told to fix. ONE coat of paint on freshly plastered walls was okay with ROR. Told to fix. Mirror was installed but fell off the wall when I went to clean it. Installed improperly despite instructions. It is always cold in room during winter ***** not enough baseboard installed (this from a heating pro) There's more but not enough space

We have been in business for 35+ years. This was the first suit filed against Red Oak Remodeling. These complaints were the subject of a lawsuit. The statements are not accurate. An arbitration panel did not find the testimony credible or the attorneys arguments persuasive. This matter has been adjudicated.Although we never want to have a dissatisfied client, this has been a growing experience for our company. Our longevity of producing qualified and excellent work is evident.
