  In July of 2023, I hired BAC Roofing to replace my roof and cedar shingle siding. The roof was completed in early August but the house side for two stories was left open for months. *** refused to get a building permit, in violation of Town building requirements. Despite the stop work order, he still did not get a permit. Work was completed November 11, three months, more than ninety days later. I paid in full, glad the work was done but a month later my ceiling began to show water seepage, worse than before I hired BAC. Over the next months of my complaining to this contractor, his efforts to correct the leak were minimal and ineffective. In July of 2024 with leaks ongoing and the damage worsening, I hired an independent inspector to assess the problem. This, *** claimed, made his warranty voided. I now have to hire a new, more competent roofing company to replace more than before plus mitigate damage caused by ***'s incompetence and poor workmanship, at great expense and stress to me, a single woman who is self employed and senior in age. I have been swindled out of a great deal of money I worked hard for. And I want the public to know this is a dishonest contractor who will not take responsibility for his own poor work habits. I do not want his men to replace the work because according to the inspection report, they don't know how to install a roof properly. They use materials that are not right for the job and this company hires unqualified workers. For example, the flashing in the valleys is old and failing and they were reused. I can see holes in them. The cedar shingles are already falling off the house, in part because they were installed too tight and are buckling. They used finish nails with no heads to hold the shingles in place and the nails were rusting after the first rain. I have the inspectors reports, cell phone texts between us, photos of work in progress, photos of progressive damage caused. I would like my money back in full.

  I hired *************************** from BAC Construction to do a roof job on my home. I was given an estimate and work was started on my home. I was never given a contract to sign. BAC construction had four men come to my home to perform the work. *************************** could not even communicate with these men. They completely ruined my home. I have had a private inspector and other contractors come to my property and I need to have the entire brand new roof installed by BAC Construction removed. All of the wood work done on my house is of poor craftsmanship. The wood used on the outside of my home is interior wood. This man is a scam artist. He takes money from hard working people to support his sad excuse of a business. He demanded a deposit to be paid to him after we questioned his work. I intiailly wrote a check of $5000 to his business and he asked that I VOID the check and write him a check to ***************************. He then CASHED the check without depositing it within ten minutes. The quality of work on my house is less than sub par. Every single thing that was touched by this man and his workers needs to be removed from my home and replaced. I have water coming in all areas of my home. My home is being damaged now due to this mans poor craftsmanship. I will be having my roof removed and replaced by a different company and have to pay additional monies to this new contractor to fix all the damages caused by BAC Construction and his crew.
