I understand they have subcontractors that work for them. However this company does not pick up nails or metal debris they leave behind. You would think if someone spent $450,000 plus for a home, they would be better at picking up after themselves. I have to replace a tire because of their lackadaisical actions. They can not plug that tire, the only option is to replace the entire tire which is less than 6 months old.

My BRLC cabin is complete now and I wanted to share some observations my experience with the building process. First and foremost, the quality of the finished cabin is top notch. I used BRLC construction as the general contractor. Chris, Nancy, and the rest of their team went out out of their way to accommodate any requests I had and made sure every detail was being handled properly. Chris brings a vast amount of contractor experience to the table, has a good group of direct employees, subcontractors he works with, and believes in doing things the right way. He really treated my cabin almost like he was building it for himself. This gave me additional peace of mind being that I resided full time in Ohio, while my cabin was being built in NC. In hindsight I made the right choice. Job well done.

Blue Ridge Log Cabins is a reputable and reliable company to build your dream cabin. Chip S**** has put together an amazing group of professionals working together as a well oiled Team for years at BRLC. Donald O**** - Sales, Doug T****** - Operations, Eddie R***-Purchasing, Don D*** - Financials, John and Emmanuel - Trim Carpenters; each was responsive and proactive in responding to the questions, problems and concerns that inevitably crop up in the construction cycle. After living in our completed BRLC for over a year now and reflecting back on the experience two words best describe the Chip S****** entire team and not just those listed above: kind hearted. So rare in todays world of fake, instant authenticity and credibility. We built four custom stick built homes in our lives prior to choosing BRLC to build our final home for retirement. My husband I agree that it is so nice knowing our home was constructed indoors and out of the weather: no construction trash in the walls, no particle board warped by rain and moisture, no windows cracked and dried in the summer droughts and no insulation breeding mildew. Our home is clean to the bone and constructed with an abundance of nails and wood. It is solid and secure. Modular homes are the new go to since people and banks are catching on to the many pros of indoor construction. Looking at the impressive height of our ceilings, the rugged beams, the perfection of the imperfection of real wood walls is a daily pleasure. I would hate to guess what the aggravation would be to get a contractor and architect to recreate this vibe in a stick built home and in a post Covid world, the price would definitely be heart stopping as well. It is true that Saudi Princes and Bill G**** have chosen BRLC to build homes for them but as regular nobodies, this dream cabin makes us feel so special because we own a bit of heaven here on earth. Partnering BRLC was one of the best decisions we ever made.

I have been exceptionally satisfied with my log cabin purchase. Staff friendly & my cabin I had designed is now my forever home. I plan on investing in another vacation home with Blue Ridge Log Cabins & have friends in line to purchase a home with them as well!

WIll never do business with Blue Ridge Log Cabins again nor recommend them. They do not stand behind their work nor their word. I tried to hold back 10% of our funds upon cabin delivery to allow us some leverage however Donn D*** assured me they would absolutely take care of us. Do not give them their full payment on cabin delivery. The lack of follow through and communication from this company is astounding. Our cabins sat openly exposed to the elements with no front doors for over 7 months. You can see light through the ceiling into the next room all throughout the house. We contracted BRLC to build out our front deck, big mistake. They never sent the drawings to our personal GC for the footers or the deck so that was a fiasco. The employee they sent, Brian H******, to build out our front deck must have built his first deck on our property. He did not use galvanized nails as confirmed by other BRLC employees. Our deck is stained with black rings throughout due to the non galvanized nails. The trim work he attempted to do looks ridiculous. Furthermore we had to pay to have work redone on the deck multiple times because BRLC would not stand behind its work and it would not pass inspection. Do not contract BRLC for any additional exterior work. Brian H was also laying roofing shingle on our home without laying the roofing paper first. BRLC leadership did not care when they were contacted by one of their own employees about the negligence. Today, we are still waiting for someone to come and finish up the exterior punch list. We received our CO in Dec 2021. They do not answer emails or calls once they get their money. I even reached out to the president Chip Smith. No attempt to make things right. Thumbs down.
