On 3/24/22, I brought my Great Pyr, Sebastian, for a routine visit and bath. He was dropped off at 8 am in good condition and taken by the vet asst to the kennel to wait for his bath/appt. I received a frantic phone call from the vet, Dr. H***** who is also the owner of the clinic, that Seb was in respiratory distress and wanted to know if I wanted to save him!!! He was hyperventilating and had a 107 fever. I raced over to find him in a tub in an extremely warm area. He's an 11 yr old large dog and should not have been left without supervision. When I returned later in the afternoon to pick up Seb and pay the bill, I was charged for emergency services. I asked about the bill and explained that my dog was NOT brought in as an emergency; it was caused by the clinic. I paid the bill to get my dog out and emailed the following morning to get reimbursed for the emergency costs. I received a call stating the bus mgr would call me. Early the following week, I spoke to the Conway mgr who also left a msg for the bus mgr. Approx 1 week later, received a call from Nicki S******, the business mgr. I explained what had occurred and asked not only to be reimbursed for the $521.40 emergency charges but to stop the monthly insurance payment and reimbursed for April's $113.94 payment. One week later, I received a check for $252. I left another message for Nicki S****** who did not return my call. I had to call again the following day and left another message. She called when I was not able to answer and left a msg stating that the amount was what we agreed upon and the case was considered closed. We never agreed on an amount. I also left messages for Dr. H***** at all locations to set up a meeting to discuss these charges that were caused by him and his vet assistants. He never returned my calls. I want Meadowlawn Animal Services, and Dr. H*****, to reimburse the additional $383.34 that I am due for their carelessness that almost cost my dog's life on 3/24/22.
