This shop has had my **** Mustang for over a year now. It was finally ready for pick up and when we went to pick up the vehicle, we drive it down the road, it wouldnt shift out of second gear, it sounded awful, was making a very audible and loud noise in the rear end and once we returned to the shop, the engine started smoking. The owner drive it with my husband and when they returned it was spewing coolant all over the engine compartment. Not to mention the $6k paint job was awfulthere were still places where you could see the old blue on the car, there were spots where rust had been painted over, overspray on my windows and many other deficiencieswhen I pointed them out to the owner she just said this is a daily driver paint job which is truebut, the quality is still atrociousyou can see lines from sanding in many places all Over the carthis is just poor quality work. I was told there would be no rust on the car, and it would look perfectI was not looking for a show quality but, my bumpers are misaligned, trunk not alignedeven mild on my backseat Now Im being told the shop will be closing down and they will not fixing paint issues and they will look into the engine issues. This car was running when I took it there, it needed an adjustment to the new exhaust to allow space for it to fit properly, I had a slow leak which required new engine seals hence why they decided dropping the engine was the best choiceand now the engine and car is just a complete disaster.I have already paid them well over $6k for the work they say they completed and they are saying if I dont pay them 3K more they will put a mechanics lien on my vehicle and it is still not drivable. Several times I have made a payment, there has been some issue with their account so I have paid via PayPal, recently there were fraud charges on their account and they wanted me to pay 4k cash for pick-up..just too many red flags..now she wont talk to me and will only to my FianceBusiness response

The customer was contacted 13 days before she actually showed up to pick up. While she was at looking at vehicle she was extremely disrespectful. My staff said to her husband that is no way to talk to anyone and her husband agreed. She got in the car and the husband and I talked. There were a few things she complained about and I would have been happy to fix these issues but after the way we were treated, we thought it would be better if she took it else where. There were a few gaskets that failed on the test drive and the vehicle did not want to shift. She had paid for all the mechanical work already so that is under warranty. $1500 was left as a deposit on the vehicle for paint work, she still owes $4500. I messaged the customer and told her that the mechanical stuff on the vehicle would be fixed but I do not want the drama from her to fix the few issues she had addressed. I told her I would expect $3000 as the rest of what she owes me and that the $1500 she saved could be used to pay someone else, if she didnt not agree to the $3000 for what she owes and have the car running for pick up I would put a lien on the car for the full price plus storage fee. I have $10,000 in the paint work on the car. The husband called me and he understood where I was coming from. She demanded she come to the shop on 2/2/22 and our response on 2/1/22 was I understand you have your feelings about the car but the way you acted and carried your self the last time you were here is completely unacceptable and will not happen again. If you want to discuss matters with the car it will be done in a calm and respectable manner, if you cannot handle yourself in that manner you will be escorted off my property. I have more respect for myself and my employees than that and I hope you do for yourself as well. We will see you tomorrow. Thank you and have a blessed day. She was a no show.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:
I was not able to pick up the vehicle because they had a freeze on their account due to fraud and they wanted me to pay cash..this is the original reason,then they were not available on Saturday for pick up, Then the bad weather rolled in. And when I did pick it up, it was not derivable more than a very short distanceThis business has 43377979-2B413 my vehicle for OVER a yearI was extremely upset as any customer would be, I tried speaking calmly and only started getting rude when I got frustrated about the condition of my vehicleand the employee kept trying to tell me that I was wrong about overspray on my car, and that there was no rust on my car..I mean, my back seat had Mold growing on itI have paid them lot of money, of course Im extremely frustrated..my fiance did not agree with them about my behavior, he knew I was upset and no one sent me to my vehicle, I chose to go to my vehicle because I was extremely upset and frustrated. I paid them $500 that day for parts for some of the repairs, my remaining balance was $4,000. I still can not drive my vehicle and it is still not repairedit is going to cost me more than $3k to get my vehicle put back together correctly, the interior cleaned *** all the missing pieces replaced, and the paint finished. I didnt come down because I was tied up at work yesterday and let them know I would be down tomorrow. I have months worth of text messages from these people and all their excuses.Sincerely,

The customer was asked to either bring cash or cashiers check while the account was down. We do not take PayPal or credit card at this time. We do not work on the weekends. We are closing our shop due to our property getting sold. The customers remaining balance is $4500. It was $5000 but she left $500 for extra parts that were needed for the vehicle (and already installed) and we contacted her before spending any money. ($6000 quote - $1500 upfront = $4500). The vehicle is sitting in our storage lot while we are waiting on an answer from the customer on if she will accept our offer or not, she was supposed to come out today (2/4/22) but once again did not come. She is claiming there are missing pieces- I asked her to order 2 rolls of trim, she only ordered 1 so it could not cover everything it needed too. She claimed there are missing chrome trim pieces on the A pillars on the car. Mustangs do not have chrome there, they are color matched to the interior of the vehicle. If she would have simply asked for me to fix these few things, I would have been happy too. But the hostility has caused all this. I had multiple professionals and current return customers come out and look at the car. I was told to not budge on the price but Im not trying to s**** anyone over, and that is why I offered what I did. The interior is cleaned in the vehicle, it was deep cleaned before original pick up date, but after sitting in the weather for 13 days waiting on pick up and it being an 57 year old car, they are sometimes not completely watertight causing moisture.
