I purchased a brand new 2022 **** A5 Sportback , and have had a problem with the tires ever since. I had to purchase tires twice, always got the same exact kind, still have trouble. I purchased my second set in February of this year. I started having the same exact problems, I called the dealership they advised me that it was a recall on the tires. They advised me that they will replace the tires and contact continental with the receipt to get reimbursed for the two I had to replace again, I was told to upload my receipts for the tires and the registration. I uploaded twice, called yesterday to check the status, a rude elderly man answered and told me he did not see where I filed a report, provided him with a incident number and he hung up on me. I sent a email explaining how was I was treated and got a response today saying that they did not see where my tires was on the recall list. I advised him that the dealership check my tires from the *** sheet and I was still told that they did not have proof. I cannot stand a company that do not stand on their word and their product, will let everyone I know not to purchase continental pro contact or Continental in General and tell the news media about itContinental Tire the Americas, LLC Response

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. Im truly sorry to hear about the difficulties you've encountered with your tires and the challenges during your interactions with our team. Your feedback is invaluable, and I want to assure you that we take these matters seriously. We apologize for any confusion regarding the reimbursement process. We are currently following ***** guidelines and processing reimbursements if the tires were replaced due to the issues outlined in our recall. Weve reached out to the servicing dealer; unfortunately, the tires were not exchanged for an issue outlined under our current safety ********** for recommended next steps, we suggest returning to the place of purchase to have the tires currently on your vehicle exchanged. This can be handled by either the tire dealer or your vehicle dealer.Review from Seth V

Purchased a new ***** Passport with Continental Tires. Had a failure on one tire with ONLY 3400 miles. ************* disappointed in the manufacturing quality, and Continental response and support. Despite the dealer advising a warranty claim, Continental support advised the warranty would likely not be honored without even seeing the tire.Needless to say, we will not be purchasing from Continental in the future.Continental Tire the Americas, LLC Response

Thank you for sharing your experience with our tires. We apologize for the inconvenience you've faced with your Continental tires. Please note that our dealers are capable of confirming the product warranty and processing an exchange for you without contacting our office for approval. However, if your dealer feels this is a warrantable issue, they just need to submit the tire through the normal warranty process.
Should the dealer need help with the process, they can contact our office at ************, Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM ETReview from Robin M

I bought 4 Continental TrueContact tires that have ****** miles on them. TireRack contacted Continental for a 'good will' credit as the 6 year warranty period had been reached. Continental declined and said that the tires are good until 2/32 tread. However, the tires went from 7/32 to 5/32 in ***** miles. *** advertised tread life was 90K. Consumer Reports states to expect 60K versus the 90K. At the rate of 2/32 reduce tread life in 2.3K miles, my tires will see possibly another 5K miles for a total of 40K on an ADVERTISED 90K tread life. Going back to Michelin.Continental Tire the Americas, LLC Response

We reviewed the dealers request for goodwill assistance for the tires purchased in March 2017. According to the information provided, the tires failed the annual inspection. However, the reported tread depth of 5/32, is above the legal minimum of 2/32 in the consumers state. We asked the dealer to confirm the actual tread depth, but we did not get a response. Even though the 6-year warranty on the tires ended in March 2023, we were ready to offer help. But the tires needed to meet the minimum criteria for the mileage warranty, even treadwear down to 2/32. ***************************************************************************Review from Zena A

We appreciate your feedback on our tires and service. Our records show that the original issue was road hazard damage to the left rear tire, which we refunded earlier this year. The local dealer did not note, nor did the first online retailer or Continental detect, any warrantable issues with the other 3 tires sent in during the first inspection. We then returned the three tires to you. You reopened the claim, claiming pinhole leaks in the remaining tires. Upon inspection, holes were found in 2 of the 3 tires, and credit was processed per the terms of our road hazard warranty. All tires returned, after a set period, are disposed of. Since the final credit to you has not been processed, we will have someone follow up with the local dealer.Review from Rock K

Thank you for providing feedback regarding our rebate program. We see that you initially submitted a screenshot of an order confirmation, instead of the final invoice showing the purchase and install of new tires. Our rebate processor sent a follow up email explaining this and requesting the missing information, but never received a reply. After we were contacted by you requesting an update, we explained what was missing. Once we received the requested information, our rebate company confirmed the processing of the rebate. Continental Tire is willfully, with intent, deliberately employing falsehoods, prevarication, and gas lighting to increase their ROI by claiming some of their high-performance tires are capable of ****** miles of safe driving because most, if not all, high performance tires generally wear out at ****** to 35,000.Therefore, Continental Tire is falsely claiming their tire is capable of a safe ****** miles. It is not. Further exacerbating this egregious practice to increase their ROI by making unsupportable marketing claims, Continental Tire, despite numerous written inquiries, is unwilling to provide any examples whatsoever as to how their heavily promoted Mileage Warranty is calculated.Continental Tire insists, repeatedly, that only a dealer can do that calculation and refuses again and again to provide any numeric examples whatsoever. Continental Tire has informed the undersigned that unless they take the vehicle with the too soon worn-out tires to Discount Tire by the end of November, they will not continue honoring their supposed Mileage Warranty. As a consumer, pne has a right to know the cost of any good or service, without ambiguity, prior to purchase! None of their websites reveal, in any manner, how mileage warranties are calculated numerically. Their wording does not carefully define the algebraic relationships and formulas used to arrive at the net cost of the replacement tires when the mileage is less than ******. Hence no means to determine net cost.In conclusion, Continental Tire is using false advertising to improve their value proposition while deliberately discouraging easy understanding of their heavily promoted Mileage Warranty to diminish and suppress substantially Mileage Warranty claims to further increase ROI. Continental Tire as a matter of policy and budget, does not train, or allow their customer ********************** representatives to present any numeric examples of how their Mileage Warranty works in a mathematical, algebraic manner.Continental Tire the Americas, LLC Response

Thank you for taking the time to provide a review of our service. We checked our records and see that you initially contacted us to request help with our warranty process because no local dealer would assist you with our mileage warranty. You confirmed one dealer took photos with a promise to follow-up but never did. We contacted that dealer; unfortunately, they only had records and basic tire service with no records of a request for warranty help. Please note, our mileage warranty requires records of tire rotations every ***** ****** miles, even tread wear down to 2/32 of an inch, and proof of purchase showing the date, vehicle, and vehicle mileage at installation. Although we do not have a dealers inspection, you confirmed a tread depth of 3-4/32 an inch, no rotations, and ****** miles of use on tires with a 50,000-mile warranty, (50%), we agreed to assist you with the estimated tread depths, provided and to waive the requirement for tire rotations records. Since you had a negative experience at a local dealer, we increased the offered goodwill to a 70% credit through that dealer. Even though you declined the offered goodwill in October, we left the offer open until 11/28/2022. As for your request for how to calculate the mileage warranty, we provided the example in multiple emails, as well as a link to the information published on our website.https://continentaltire.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/789 We are still willing to assist. You just need to go to the local dealer to process a warranty exchange.Customer Response

First, per *** owners manual for this **** *** 535is, tire rotations are not desirable, required, or needed. In fact, it states, "do not rotate."Second, their response ignores the repeated inability to give a numeric example of how the much publicized Mileage Warranty is calculated.Discount ********* Boys and even Continental Tire have not been about to provide any numeric examples of how the math works in calculating their Mileage Warranty. At every turn, Continental Tire and these 2 national TBA chains have been unable to provide that example.Consumers have a Federal right under "Truth in Advertising" to know what they are paying for and why. The statement that Continental has provided examples, of any type in any email, is disingenous at best, and deliberate prevarication at worst.Went to *** Boys a week or so ago, same "stiff armed" don't bother us response to seeking how the Mileage Warranty is calculated. Why did Continental "require" me to secure the "70% warranty" (with no definition of net cost for me?) to go to a substandard TBA stored, when I purchased from *** Boys? Despite asking this question in numerous emails, no response in any manner whatsoever. How come?Last, but not least, Continental has "ghosted" me on their website such that I can no longer email them. Hence their statement that they are "still willing to assist" is without any factual basis whatsoever.Again, this is, IMHO, a deliberate policy by Continental Tire to suppress, diminish Mileage Warranty claims of not achieving ****** miles on high performance tires when the majority get only 22,000-28,000 before becoming unsafe at 3-4/32's of an inch. IMHO, Continental Tire is deliberately not truthful (that's "intent to deceive") about these tires readily, safely lasting ****** miles such that they sell more. And then suppress warranty claims to maintain ROI for C level bonuses with poor customer **********************, poor training of customer ********************** personel, prevarication, deflection and thinly veiled ad hominems. Therefore, IMHO, Continental Tire does not "keep their promises" and I have now filed a formal complaint with the ****
