Online payment center has not been working so I contacted the customer support and spoke to *****. ***** was professional but unable to help me. She kept saying there was someone that could help but was unavailable. My understanding from ***** was someone was going to contact me back to help with website but if unable to pay on the site someone would pick up a check from the property. I figured that this sounded legit as I have personally handed a check to the meter reader in the past. I left a check for the amount I was given by ***** and left at the property. I never received a call back and kept asking my father in law if check was picked up. I was advised this morning that Riverview refused to take the payment and shut off the water. I contacted **** today 3/15/2023 and she had ***** contact me. ***** called me a little after 5pm from ************. We had an unpleasant and very unprofessional conversation that ended in ***** hanging up on me with no resolution. I have done business with this company for over 20 years counting my past addresses and current address since February of 2017 and its always been extremely difficult to contact someone but never been treated this poorly and dehumanized by this company or any other organization in my region before.Business response

I am rejecting this response because:
The statement from Riverview is only partially true. I still am unable to access the pay portal and can clearly see that my 20 years as a customer with ********************** has no value to this individual. My recommendation is for this company to build a drop box for payments if they are unable to give support for the online payment portal.Business response

As stated previously, we do not employ a team of coders to write programs for customer use. We are a ********************** provider. You are no longer on the water system and it is irrelevant whether you are able to make on on-line payment or not. The root cause of this issue has nothing to do with access to an on-line pay portal, but an historic pattern of delinquent payments which show a lack of caring and respect on your part. We have been more than fair with you over the years ( a statement you made during our conversation), and we value all customers. This does not mean that we will tolerate blatant disrespect from anyone to a member of our staff. As stated previously there is a difference between resolution and acceptance. The issue is resolved as we have received our money and you have moved from your place of residence.The real issue is whether you accept responsibility for this situation. I sense that this is something that you will never do which speaks to a lack of emotional maturity. There is nothing more to add.
