I paid for a Holley fuel pump and received a cheap China fuel pump that broke in less than 12 hours. It literally came apart and burnt up. I contacted the company and requested a partial refund just to cover the new fuel pump I had to buy to get my truck off the side of the road and making me money again. They refused to help me at all other than me sending the broken pump back the them so they can repair and return it to me. I dont want their garbage and they habe already costed me 4 times what I had originally planned on spending.Business response

Mr. ***** purchased a Ford electric fuel pump conversion kit on October 22, 2022 from our online store moosediesel.com. He contacted us November 11, 2022 that the top bolts were loose and that he tightened them and it didn't make a difference. He said the pump burned up when I spoke with him. I explained to Mr. ***** that we don't manufacture, rebuild or repair these pumps, we purchase them from the manufacturer, but that we will stand behind the lift pump and replace it according to the warranty.
The warranty states that the customer needs to:
Call or email us to receive an RMA number (and return shipping label if not already provided)
Send documentation requested - pictures, warranty claim form, videos, etc
Send the lift pump back to us so we can send the customer a brand new pump (and we can deal with the manufacturer warranty.)
Mr. ***** is double dipping. Attached is a receipt where he chose to purchase another pump before contacting us for warranty replacement. He turned in the pump we sent him as "wrong product". He got $125.99 off of the new pump he purchased. And still wants a full refund from Moose Diesel.
Now he is unable to comply with the warranty because he doesn't have the pump anymore. He took advantage of another auto parts store and manipulated them into giving him what he viewed as "the correct pump" by doing an exchange. It is our opinion based on the pictures that he sent us, his complaint (which is inconsistent with an actual technical failure that the construction of this pump would allow), and his receipt that all that has actually happened here is that he saw the word China stamped on the bottom of the pump, concocted a scheme to obtain a pump that says Holley on the bottom, and defraud both us and the auto parts store of actual revenue that they were entitled to.
