I had taken this loan out back in 2018 and it had charged off in 2019 after I was already taken to court to have my wages garnished and I have never been back to work since. I have not been contacted since 2019 until this year about paying back my loan that is completely charged off. After talking to someone and asking for the paperwork that pertained to my loan, I was told that was not an option and needed to set up payment. Since that day several months ago, I am getting 5-6 calls a day if not more. I have blocked every number since I was not given what I had asked for. I would love for this to be cleared off my record and the calls to stop.Customer response

I had an account with ********* ******. They agreed to settle the account. I paid the settlement and received the settlement letter and they agreed to remove this entry from my credit or show current or settled in full. However, they continue to call and harass me via telephone for the $$$ owed, and they continue to report me as 120 days past due on my ******** credit report. I am giving it one more chance to resolve this issue through BBB before considering legal action with Lexington law. I just want this incorrect 120 days past due removed from my ******** report and the continued HARASSING demand for payment calls to stop.Business response

I have been a customer of Heights for quite awhile and recently refinanced my loan through them. I however was involved in a car accident and was out of work for awhile. I called the local office and asked for a delay in payment or for a forgiveness in the loan because of my accident. They told me they could do nothing. I find it very unsettling that after a huge life event like a car accident Heights does nothing. I will be telling everyone I know to avoid Heights and will let as many people as I know not to use Heights. Heights Finance is a predatory lender.Customer response

In 2016, an account with Heights Finance was opened. It was sent to collections and then garnished from me and garnishment was completed on 1/21/2022. Heights Finance has been reporting this as a balance due incorrectly ever since. I filed a dispute on August 17, 2023 since it was showing a balance of $705. The dispute came back as valid even though ***** Law (the collection agency) has sent them on August 17, 2023 documents showing paid in full. September 13, 2023 they sent Heights Corp another statement showing ***. Then again they sent one AGAIN on September 14, 2023 BUT to an email I had to pry out of their corporate office and me so that I had the proof. I should not have to wait another 30 days for a second dispute when they were sent *** documents from ***** Law in 2022 and in August before the original dispute. Local branch and the corporate state they cannot give me documentation showing the balance of any past loans nor can they write me a letter stating it was collected in full they say.Customer response

This letter is in response to your complaint submitted to the Better Business Bureau (“BBB”)
received by ********* ******* **** ************* on September 19, 2023. According to our
records, you obtained a loan from our Beaumont office in Texas on May 14, 2019, in the amount
of $882.00 and agreed to repay it in nine (9) monthly installments of $98.00 beginning June 14,
2019. Our records reflect that your account was charged off and subsequently sold to National
Credit Adjusters, LLC (“NCA”) on September 30, 2022.
In your complaint, you state that we are reporting inaccurate information to the credit reporting
agencies (“CRAs”) and claim that we are illegally reporting information to the CRAs because
your account has been charged off. You further state that we continue to make collection
attempts on the account despite the charge-off status and, as such you are requesting deletion of
the tradeline to ensure that it no longer appears on your credit report. Please be advised that
charged off debt is not cancelled or forgiven, and your account may continue to report to the
CRAs. We have verified that your loan is reporting accurately as “charged off and sold”.
Covington has ceased collection efforts on the account as we no longer own the debt and denies
that it is furnishing inaccurate account data.

laws and as such, your request to remove accurate information from your credit report will not be
