MY PET WAS TAKEN TO THE BARKERY BISTRO ON SAT JULY 6, 2024 FOR A REGULAR GROOMING APPOINTMENT. AFTER MY HUSBAND PICKED HIM UP HE NOTICED HIS EYE WAS RED AND IT PROGRESSIVELY GOT WORSE AS THE NIGHT WENT ON. WE TOOK HIM TO THE ER VET AND THEY SAID IT WAS FROM TRAMA OR HIGH STRESS. I REACHED OUT TO THE OWNER SEVERAL TIMES VIA EMAIL REQUESTING A COPY OF THE VIDEO OF THE GROOMING AND THEY DENIED IT. SHE THEN CLAIMED THAT RHETT HATES THE BLOW DRYER (WHICH HAD NEVER BEEN TOLD TO US PREVIOUSLY)Business response

****** ****** brought his dog into my shop for his regular grooming, the dog has been groomed at our salon several times. The dogs eye was fine when he left, the owner looked him over and said everything looked great. *** ****** called us several times and I explained this to him that. I talkedf this over with the groomer and told *** ****** thie following, when ****** picked up, the groomer did let him know that Rhett had a bit of a difficult time. There was a mole on the inside of his leg that he had opened while he was getting blow dried. She explained that to him, and if she had seen his eye, she would have thoroughly explained what happened with that and how it could have happened as well. There were 2 forms of restraint used - on his belly and around his neck. Typically there only needs to be one loop around the neck. Despite the groomers best efforts, sometimes dogs still don't cooperate and try to fight to get out, which can lead to something like a blood vessel popping. Just like with humans, stress can cause that as well. She was patient while also getting the job done. *** ****** decided to take the dog to his vet. I offered to pay that vet bill if he would allow my to talk with his ver. After talking with them he let me know that the popped blood vessel was very common and would go away on it's own. The vet also told me that it in no way meant that the groomer harmed the dog in any way. I told *** ****** this but he continued to call the store and then became threatening. I quit answering his phone calls and emails as they were violent and threatening. Again, I talkd with the vet that saw Rhett (the dog) and he said it was no fault of my groomer nor my shop.
