In early 2022, we hired Master Homes Design for a kitchen remodel. From the first day of the project, we had issues that were not addressed. Poor workmanship continued throughout the project till we terminated and withdrew from any other work. In fact, we had a failed inspection due to the poor workmanship. Now we hear they are telling others in the community we owe them money, which is not the truth. Excerpt on issues emailed to MHD: Issues with attic work, drywall and ceiling work after we met in your office. ½ inch or more gaps between the new drywall where the ceiling and wall meet. This error has resulted in a wavy looking ceiling line along where the wall and ceiling meetup. No painting or primer used on the ceiling drywall patching of where the wall existed. During our meeting at your office, you told us you would have the "new" drywall/painter removed the drywall that the GC installed incorrectly and properly paint and correct the issues we showed you and discussed. However, that did not happen. The new drywaller/painter just mudded over the improperly installed drywall and that is why the ceiling and walls still do not lineup and did not prime the ceiling . Your team did not do what you told me they were going to do and now we have a noticeable wave along the ceiling line where the wall and ceiling meet and tape and seems that show through paint. Incorrectly measured and installed pony wall for the center island. Resulted in us having less overall length and different size of cabinets then what the plan called for. Plus 2X4's had to be pieced together and added to the pony wall to extend it so it's long enough for the cabinets. The GC's failed attempts in shoring up the attic per the engineering plans. He did not follow the plan and argued with us for two-three weeks which resulted in failed inspection. Your GC caused this project to be delayed by 3 weeks or more and we are still finding issues with his workmanship. Cabinets install issues
