One of the properties of Johnson development associates is the Trails at ******* ****. I rented an apartment for my son from 2021-2023. He moved out in June 2023 and they have not paid his deposit despite several promises. It has been over 7 months and they need to pay with interest. They charge late fees for rent and need to pay late fees for this.Business response

We regret to hear about your experience at The Trails at ******** ****. We assure you that your concerns are taken seriously and have been fully investigated. Your security deposit refund check has now been issued and mailed on 3 occasions since August, 2023. As you are aware we are obligated to send the funds to the last known address at time of issuance which, in addition to further changes of address, has created some hiccups in returning your funds to you promptly. Each time the property was notified that the check had not been received a “stop payment” was placed on the check and a new one had to be issued creating considerable delays.
The most recent check was issued and mailed to you on 01/24/24 to the address you most recently provided. We understand the importance of receiving money owed in a timely manner and apologize that this timeline has been extended. Due to this unfavorable delay we will return your security deposit of $200 to you in full. In order to provide you the updated balance, the check issued to you on 01/24/24 would need a “stop payment” and a new check would need to be issued. We understand that your frustration stems from the length of time it has taken to receive the original refund and we are providing full transparency that any changes to the amount will create a further delay.
We appreciate you bringing these concerns to us and look forward to providing you and your family with a happy living experience.
