They charge a $15 late fee which accrues interest. They never disclose if your account is in poor standing with the company, and they never mailed any notice. I or my dad have been paying on the 15th of every month rather than the 13th. This means that I had accrued several hundred dollars of late fees + interest and was never notified. We purchased my car 5 years ago.. anything that is in the contract should be enforced via letters in the mail, receipts, notices of any kind. This past month has been an absolute nightmare as my dad and I cannot get them to produce any sort of documentation regarding my remaining balance. I cannot even get them to email me a receipt after a payment. They have one person in the entire company who handles things like this and she's never in. They claim they do not have the man power to follow up on late fees, etc. But yet, I was told that my account had been in poor standing for YEARS. I am not 100% convinced that they aren't lying about my balance. I have yet to see any documentation on what I owe.

****** ****** signed a finance & security agreement. All terms & conditions of the agreement were explained at the time of signing and she was provided a copy. She admits in the complaint that she mostly did not pay on time for the duration of the loan. Therefore, she accumulated many late fees. She also moved out of state and never notified us the lienholder with a current address. The debt has been satisfied.

I was dealing with gus on a *************. While talking to him about the condition of the vehicle I asked him if there was any dents, rust and scratches? His reply was its a pretty clean vehicle. So I put money down on this to hold it till the weekend until I could get there to look at it. Not once when we were doing the deposit did he say it was nonrefundable. I went there that weekend to look at it and when I started it up it was burning oil. I took a look around the vehicle and found multiple scratches all the way around the vehicle. The scratches were bad enough were they would buff out. The clear coat was peeling off on the rear hatch and front grill. I told gus I can't purchase this due to the condition it's in and would like my deposit back. Gus asked for my name and address and said I will have them mail you a check. I contacted them many times about my deposit and now they are saying it's nonrefundable and that gus told me about it when I was putting the deposit down. Every time I talk to them they change their story. I'm fed up with speaking to them about this. How can a dealer lie to the customer and nd attorney General saying I was told about the deposit being nonrefundable when they didn't say one word about it until I requested my deposit.

Business Response /* (1000, 8, 2022/02/24) */ This email is in response to a complaint filed by Mr. Daniel ***. All deposits are non-refundable. Mr. *** was told that by the salesman before the deposit was made. A deposit of $*** was to put the vehicle on hold. On hold vehicles are considered sold. On hold means we pull the vehicle and set it aside for the customer. The ****************** is a 15 year old AWD SUV with 141,000 miles and a purchase price of $******** condition is in the eye of the beholder. In my opinion this vehicle is in above average condition. There are 16 pictures of this vehicle on our website, a person can zoom in on any photo to get a closer look. Sincerely, Brian ***** Sales & Finance Manager T & L Auto Sales, LLC
