A Mr. Applicance repairman was here on July 2 for a dryer that would not turn on. After he checked it, he said it needed some part that cost as much as a new one, We both agreed it would be better to get a new one. I got from ***** but it didn't work so they came back and got it. I got one from **** *****. Now it is not turning on. It seems the issue is in the outlet somehow. Because of your repairman, I paid $130 for his time to give me the wrong diagnostic. The I paid $583 for a low end dryer. The one that was hauled off was a very high end general electric with many nice settings, costs $1200. This is basically on and off. Because of poor service from Mr. Appliance, I had a perfectly good dryer hauled off, bought a lesser model, and I am still without a dryer for over two weeks.Business response

We did refund the customer the original fee charged of $130.01

Complaint: ********
I am rejecting this response because: The repairman told me I needed to buy a new dryer. So I bought the cheapest one that I could afford that is no comparison to the high end dryer that ***** hauled off when they delivered the new one. There was nothing wrong with my dryer (repairman said it needed a new control board and that it would be cheaper to buy a new one.).
I hired an electrician who replaced the breaker and outlet and that fixed the issue of no power coming to the old dryer.
I would like Mr. Appliance to reimburse me the $1200 it will take for me to purchase a new dryer with all the settings and displays that the original one had.
Sincerely,

Contacted company for appliance repair of Whirlpool refrigerator. 07/16/2021 tech arrived, mentioned he was a certified Whirlpool tech; did vacuum test which showed a leak. He said he could put stop leak to see if it would fix it. He then installed an illegal, unauthorized tap on the unit (which was confirmed by a separate company that I hired to fix the Mr Appliance mistakes). The leak was not fixed and I was charged approximately $1043.96 for the tech to make the situation worse.Business response

The tap installed is not "illegal" and customer was made aware of the risk (see notes from work order at time of work):
Installed process tap and leak seal. Recovered refrigerant and pulled vacuum on the unit. Vacuum was leaking pretty fast. I showed the customer. He still wanted it charged. I advised we couldn’t guarantee with that fast of a leak. He understood. Recharged to proper level. Unit tested as designed
