I have had regular winter shutdown and spring start up of irrigation system done at my property in **********, ** by Mid south irrigation. When they claimed that additional repairs have to be done costing more than $500 after paying for spring start up including repair of a leaky back flow I requested Green earth to review and repair. They charged me more than what Mid south had charged me and they said that they repaired all the issues with the irrigation system. Soon after that - (within days) there was a leakage of the backflow and this time they went over and claimed that the valve had a crack and needs a replacement costing over $ ****. I told them that I would review and contact them if I was going to go ahead . It was the same back flow they had claimed to have fixed. Now they are sending additional invoice for $ 95 for just confirming that it is the same leak. These are the notes "Called for valve issue, found it to be the back flow has a slow drip. Provided quote, no work performed at visit. Irrigation Tech - 06/23/23 **** Hrs $95.00. This issue has not been fixed and I have paid them the entire amount. I do not think I should be charged again for their inefficiency and I should be getting a refund as I am certain that the only people who have worked on the valve and the system is Green Earth. I kindly request a full refund please. This is causing emotional and financial distress

Good afternoon, We have reviewed the feedback and have a few comments.

      1. We determined the issue on back flow and gave notice as to what that issue was, both verbally and written on invoice during initial repair work.

      2. The valve only leaked when it was turned while we were on site but the service call request was stated that there was a valve leaking, not stated it was related to back flow. An on-site visit was required to further evaluate.

      3. We have a service call base charge, which was assessed on second work request, at which time a verbal price for replacing back flow was given.

Thanks very much for the timely reply. As, the owner was not living in the premises we had initially requested an evaluation and assessment of the back flow and back flow testing after the winter shutdown. There was a "lot of work" done especially at the back-flow, as the charges for a spring start up amounted well over $ 500. If that work was done in April to May and there are no freezes after that point how could the back-flow be cracked and need to be replaced. If some work was already done on the back-flow, a reputable company would always guarantee that work or at least make a courtesy assessment  of the situation to see if their workers had caused the damage. I am very thankful you made a follow assessment and gave an estimate of close to **** for replacement. As I got the replacement done by someone else for less than 1/3rd your price and did not get it done by your company, then you turn around and bill us a service call-out fee. If your company had the business sense and moral scruples you would have made an assessment of the required repairs the very first time and had the courtesy of providing a followup assessment for any repairs needed within the next month following the initial repair then your company be a "better business". I am afraid that many of the contractors and businesses in your area are quite dodgy and if many customers like me put these experiences online, on nextdoor, on ******* and on tiktok , then the ones with poor business practices will be shunned by the local community.

I still do not agree with your assessment and would be seeking guidance from the ** board for licensing of contractors

I am rejecting this response because this repair was done by you just a month back
