I have never in my life been mistreated so poorly before at any store except for the local store in Columbia, SC on Longtown Rd. The Store Manager, Melissa, has been racially profiling me every time I enter the store. She refuses to help me get items off the sky shelf as I am shopping. She has kicked me out of her store just to remove items so I can’t purchase them. I have called customer service several times now and complained about how rude she is to me and refuses to help me. I have videos of her screaming at me for no reason and threatening to kick me out because I ask for help and she won’t help me. I have spoken with a district manager and explained every thing that has happened and he assured me that he would handle the situation and apologized to me for her behavior and told me that I was allowed to continue to shop at their store. Today as I was shopping the store and looking for items she came up to and told me that she is refusing to serve me and that I am to leave her store now. At first I didn’t realize she was talking to me. I said excuse me? And she said you heard me I told you to get out of my store now! When I left I immediately contacted the District Manager, which didn’t respond to me. I called customer service and they said I would hear back with in 24 hours. This is the 4th time I have had to call customer service about her poor attitude and rudeness towards me. I have never broken anything, stole anything or even giving her a reason to treat me the way she treats me. She is harassing me and it’s taking an emotional toll on me. I sat in my car and cried over this situation. I have never cussed at her, said anything mean to her and/or done anything for her to treat me like she has.Dollar General Response

At Dollar General, we place a premium on customer service. In order to ensure the situation described will be immediately investigated and addressed, with the information our customer provided our call center, and after seeing our district manager tried to reach out the day this complaint was called in, we have requested our district manager try to reach out to our customer again to address and resolve her concerns.
Bringing this issue to our attention has provided us with an opportunity to adhere to our mission - serving others - and we sincerely appreciate that.
We apologize for how this experience made our customer feel and we welcome any opportunity we have to serve her in the future.

1405 Hephzibah-mcbean rd Hephzibah, Ga 30815 has the rudest most unprofessional manager I’ve ever seen in my life. The employees all seem wonderful, but I’ve witness her talk to employees and customers like dogs. Her name is Tiffany. Apparently her boss Richard doesn’t take customer complaints seriously.Dollar General Response

Coupons/Deal advertised: listed on the products, in the store, and NO expiration date! If you advertise this discount on the product; Then THE SALE should be honored! All I got from the employee is sarcasm. Didn't help me understand why it's not available. Suggestions: Your employee stand around not doing anything. Shouldn't they remove ANY sales not listed on your app. Frustrating and Disappointing. Especially when eating the product helps settle my stomach for my severe health issues. Does anyone care about that anymore? I have the picture of the sale next to the product you didn't honor.Dollar General Response

November 9, 2024 The Dollar General store on Rt 304 In Girard Ohio is the best kept DG store ever. Always organized, stocked and clean. This evening I found a lost coupon for $5 and had to return everything in order to get the discount. My checkout guy. JOE was amazing and extremely patient in performing the complicated and inconvenient service. So I want. DG to recognize JOE who did an excellent job without complaining. As I really. If I could put 0 star I would. I came in after work to purchase a few items and got to listen as another customer was called rude after she made what seemed to be an ill timed joke. Nothing rude or mean was said between the manager and customer. After the customer had left, the on shift manager proceeded to say that the customer was going to be banned for the comment and then her checker named Brandon also joined in calling the customer a ***** and proceeded to go off about said customer in front of no less than 4 other customers for more than 5 minutes who had to now listen while they continued to rant. It was extremely unprofessional and it shows why this business has the rating it does. They will continue to drive away customers as long as they are allowed to mismanage the store.Dollar General Response

I went to the location here in Buffalo,NY located at 668 E Ferry St and when I arrived their at 8:20pm the store was closed way before closing time which is 9pm due to an emergency and I think that is very unprofessionalReview from Ruth D

Only two employees working, both outside flanking the doors on both sides, smoking so my granddaughter and I had to walk through their smoke to get in the store. We looked around for a few minutes, found what we wanted to buy, both employees still in their same spots outside smoking. I had wanted to use cash but neither cashier bothered to come in so I had to use my debit card at the self checkout for a $5 purchase. Employees are almost always outside smoking directly in front of the doors even though there are signs on the doors specifically saying not to smoke in front of the doors. The worst store I have ever been to. I hurry up there before they close 9:55. Don't forget I run out of gas just to try and make it before they close. I go to checkout with my 1 item and she will not accept my cash. Says card only. That's the only thing I have yet the lady still refused me. Now I have nothing to eat tonight thanks to some rude lady that laughed at me.Review from Annette S

No one working registers or helping customers. No bags at the self checkout. I said “I need some bags!” Someone yelled “We’re out!” I had to go find my own bag as well as check my items out!
