I own a 2-story home built & completed in Columbia, TN in 2022. It has 27 windows of varying types manufactured by MGM Industries. Several were replaced early after the home was completed for reasons related to glass breakage, but I have had few problems with them since then. I was instructed how to properly operate them, including cleaning, securing, and screen removal. I have done that several times with the 17 windows downstairs with little difficulty, but just recently began cleaning some of the upstairs windows. I discovered one that has probably never been opened because it is located in a spare bedroom. When I tried to remove the screen in the usual manner, I immediately noticed it was extremely tight and difficult to remove. I allowed the active portion of the window to angle downward toward me to allow me more room to work on the screen removal. Suddenly, the active window fell completely out of its track as if it was not held in by the 2 sashes properly. Luckily the window did not break, but I was then unsure how to reinstall it in the sashes. I then realized the sashes did not appear to be operating properly like all my other windows. I called my home builder, who sent out a carpenter to inspect it. He struggled to get the window back into place and noticed the sashes were extremely tight. Even after he reinstalled it, the window was extremely difficult to operate. I pointed out to him that the top horizontal vinyl frame piece of the active window was extremely warped, which may be part of the problem. The window is very difficult to lock and unlock as well. Although the window is back into place, there is clearly something wrong with this particular window to safely operate it. I sought a resolution through MGM Industries pursuant to the 20-year factory warranty. Despite 3 VM messages left with customer service & 2 detailed emails via the contact method on their website, no one has responded. Very unprofessional. This is not over yet!

I built a new home in 2017 and MGM windows were used. Almost immediately all the painted windows had to be retouched and they were great about getting it fixed. Soon after a large window started to leak. They came and put caulking around the window and thought that would fix it. After 2 years of constant leaks and issues they sent someone to replace the window. (Which they say they have no record of) They put a ton of sealant around it. As soon as fall hit and we got rain we had a little leaking with the new window. I emailed my contact with NO Response. Now every time it rains water is pouring into the house. Our wall and floors are damaged! I have contacted the distributor who keeps attempting to contact MGM to repair it but after months I still have had no response. The window has leaked constantly for 5 years, we have to keep a towel on the window seal every time we leave the house in case it rains…. I have asked other companies to see what can be done, but after looking at the window, they say the manufacturer should replace it since it's new, otherwise it is going to cost me thousands of dollars.....So much for quality or service. When you pay thousand of dollars for a window (which does not open) you'd expect more from the company!

They claim "Our windows have twice the product life-cycle of the average wood, aluminum-clad wood, or vinyl-clad wood windows." Well the "average" must be pretty short because the failure rate of windows produced by MGM is all over social media. Everyone has product problems from time-to-time. If you speak with the distributors and retailers of MGM windows (******, *************, etc.) and I suggest that you do, you will find that MGM Industries has had their share of problems. Glass failures, seal failures, whole house full of window that leak or have bad glass seals. This is well known to the trades. Problem is that MGM does not honor their warranty, or return calls asking for assistance. Don't buy these products. Find a window supplier with a history of standing behind what they sell. MGM Industries does not.
