I’ve signed up for this gym because it is close to my house but they charged me for 2 different memeberships and were charging me for 2 annual fees and when I asked for them to refund it back they kept telling me they will and never did I am so sick and tired of calling this planet fitness in Broadway asking for a manager to call me and they never did and it’s been more than a month and I still don’t have a refund.

Recently entered this gym location and found anti-vax propaganda tweets and memes printed out and taped on a dry erase board. A lovely thing for a gym to advertise considering the volume of people touching common surfaces and breathing near eachother.

Be careful if you consider starting a membership here. I started my membership with them because it was close to my work at the time. Shortly after signing up my work started working at home again. The gym is 45 minutes from my home so obviously I didn't continue going there. Once I knew I was permanently working at home I changed gyms. On one of my days off I drove from maynardville to Farragut to cancel my membership. I went in to the front desk told them I needed to cancel, started answering their questions, esigned and left. I asked for paperwork showing I cancelled and they said they didn't have any but that it was cancelled. I knew better but I trusted the employee and left. Fast forward to December 21, they are STILL charging my card. I call trying to figure out why they are still charging me.. they state I haven't been there since July and never cancelled.... They stated there was absolutely nothing showing I was there that day. I explain to them that if they pull the cameras they would see me at the desk and apparently they can't pull the cameras. Not only did they fail to do their job and not own up to it but they also go on to tell me I was never even there and never cancelled. I use Google maps and it tracks everything. I clearly was there, I cancelled, and they did not actually cancel it In Order to continue getting money. I have 2 other family members who had this issue as well. The gym is very nice and the staff when i signed up were very polite. However, the customer service once you cancel is awful. The GM of the gym inferred I was lying about ever being there and canceling. I had to get rude, threaten to call my bank and the better business bureau in order to get them to cancel over the phone today. They didn't refund any money and won't acknowledge the fact that they messed up. I have been a member at many gyms in different states and even countries and they are by far the worst I've ever had to deal with. When they replied to my reviews they still will not own up to their mistake and pretend as if i was never there. Makes you wonder how many people have been there to cancel and weren't and how much money they make from unauthorized charges this way.
