I just left the Cracker Barrel in league city Texas and I am very disappointed. ALL the food was burnt. Pancakes, sausage, bacon, and ham. On top of that, the ham wasn’t the sugar cured ham that I asked for. I ordered my daughter the biscuit on the kids meal and it only came out with the sausage and eggs. Not even with a biscuit. The manager was very unprofessional as well. She didn’t even let me tell her the problem. She ASSUMED I was about to say the meat was undercooked… It was the complete opposite. Overcooked.Review from janet O

I have physical issues that make it difficult for me to stand for long periods of time and getting into a seated position and standing up. I arrived with my husband and asked for a table for 7. They had only one other couple at the restaurant at the time. The waitstaff walked menus over to the table. I followed and pulled out a chair, I was told she couldn't seat us until the entire party was there. I sat down and said, " It is difficult for me to stand and wait, (as if the cane I rely on wasn't enough for her to see that." Another wait staff came over and explained the policy again, I was told that I could go outside and sit to wait. I again explained my issues and told the girl if I was in the way of other patrons, I could understand, but, as I said before there was one couple seated. No one was in line. Then, the manager came out and I explained again. It was sooo embarrassing! I couldn't believe the treatment I received! I certainly could have understood if there were others waiting, but it was a very slow night. Trying to get resolution via their customer service number was a bust. I submitted a complaint and received a form response and a coupon. I tried the chat service, but that was a zoo, Very unsatisfactory. ADA provides me with rights, They were violated.Review from Cindy C

My family experienced extremely bad service at one of the Cracker Barrel’s in Wisconsin. I wrote the headquarters in Lebanon, TN, four times hoping to receive an apology and explanation of why the service was so poor. Letters were written to them on April 1st, 23rd, May 29, and July 2nd, all in 2024. They have not acknowledged one letter. My family experienced a 40 minute wait at the table before our order was taken; it took another 50 minutes for the food to arrive. The food arrived in intermittent stages, some received their meals, others didn’t (family of five), sides were missing and didn’t arrive until after the entree was eaten. Then the sides arrived in take-home containers. No cornbread was provided although requested, as well as no drink refills. We also ordered five $5.00 take-home meals and received only three. Of the food served, it was as though the size was cut in half. We remained polite to the server and manager but when explaining to the manager our concern, she explained she didn’t believe it was going to be busy that day and hadn’t ordered enough food. No apology, no compensation, nothing. That was the point she could’ve offered at least the free take-home meals previously ordered before this nonsense, or offered to remove the soda and tea drinks, or offered a dessert so we at least went away feeling somewhat satisfied. I can’t say how miffed I’ve been over this incident Not one of our meals was complete; we paid for menu items not received. My last letter simply asked for a letter of apology at a minimum, yet it has been over a month later and haven’t heard a thing.Review from Daphne A

I called and order fried chicken. The person who took the order kept having to ask someone questions. I said I wanted to order fried chicken. I also said I would pay extra for white meat instead of white and dark. She said to you want home style chicken. I said repeatedly regular fried chicken. I got home and was given fried boneless chicken not regular bone chicken. No biscuits. I called and ask to speak to manager. I explained that I wanted Fried chicken and I would pay extra for just white meat. He said I should have said the correct title! I should have said southern fried chicken. So blaming me that regular fried chicken is Boneless. I informed him that I did not have a menu in front of me and what person thinks regular fried chicken is fried boneless. He said I need to look at menu to know titles. My response was why didn’t your employee ask” do you want bone in or boneless. The manager kept arguing. I hung up because of the rudeness. I’m in Woodstock and I will never order from the Canton location. I contacted guess relations and reply was to give me a comp card to regain my trust. Instead of comp card, think the manager should be made aware of his conduct and not respond like this to someone else.Review from Mary B

Went in store in Virginia Beach VA for breakfast. I usually go in this store weekly with family and friends. About 6 months ago I was given a Business Card from one of the Managers there for a meal that was less quality than I was use to being served there, the Manager hand wrote on the bottom of his card , $50….i did not question why he didn’t give me an actual Gift Card , I assumed he being a Manager knew what he was doing. I thanked this man for the kind gesture and left. On June 20, 2024 I went in for breakfast, it was about $12.00. When I presented this card to the General Manager , he very nasty asked me why I had this card, I told him basically it was none of his concern because it had nothing to do with him, and he was mad. He tore the Business Card up, I asked him for my card back and he said no, he was furious with me. He told me to get out of HIS store, if I didn’t he was calling the Police. Never in my life have I ever been treated like this from anyone. I have tried and tried to call the phone numbers available for this to file a complaint, never able to reach anyone. I have filed a complaint with Guest Relations and my understanding they would resolve this within 5 days. Today is June 27, 2024, no resolution. This is a family restaurant and this GM has really overstepped his authority, he may as well told me I stole that card the way he was treating me. I can’t even tell anyone how many times I have been to this restaurant, this is totally unacceptable for the GM to be representing Cracker Barrel this was. I will continue trying to speak with Corporate until I reach someone in this horrifying experience. Can’t you imagine being thrown out of Cracker Barrel and also threatened to have the VBPD called on you?? )Virginia Beach Police DepartmentReview from Sam G

A Cracker Barrel gift card was denied during a recent visit to a store in Arlington, TX. It is an old gift card and does not have a PIN #. I was told to call the 800# on the back of the card. I called that number but numerous times but cannot talk to a "live person" unless I choose the "Vendor" option. Twice I was put through to another person only to get a voice mail message that person is not available. I leave messages but no one calls back. Three times I attempted to send emails but all three were rejected stating an error has occurred. Thier web site does not list any other numbers or names. Not even their home office address is given; I found that on the BBB website.Review from Marlene T

We went to Kingwood TX Cracker Barrel yesterday. They were busy and had to wait about 10 minutes which was no big deal. Once we got seated we did get drinks pretty quickly. There was a party of 12 that was there in our area and another couple that came in shortly after us. We had to flag the waitress down to get drink refill. 30 minutes into our wait the couple who ordered AFTER us got there meal. The waitress kept telling us she was checking on it. She kept catering to the big table guest. Our order was taken around 11 am and at 10:50 we still didn't get and update or our meal. My husband and I had an appointment. We got up to get the waitress and told her we are leaving after waiting an hour. She said at this time the were get ready to plate our food. Getting ready to...really. I told her we need ticket for our drinks. She did she wouldn't charge for them. We would have talked to manger when we left but there was a line and we were running really late for appointment. We have had another incident that happened there also. Tried to call the Kingwood store after 30 minutes on being on hold I hung up. Tried calling the Tennessee office couldn't reach anyone. Used the message part and could not get part the digital assistant. Very, very bad customer service and customer service ability to talk a real person. I would not recommend this location and the Cracker Barrel Restaurant chain.
