      I wish I could give zero stars but that's not possible. They will happily take your money every month and from time to time they may fix something very small but if you ever have something go wrong they will always deny the claim. This service is just a full con stay away at all costs.

      It’s taking almost 3 weeks to get water heater fixed because AHW insists on sending the water heater, but it took them 3 days to order and only then cause plumber called, and another 2 weeks to actually get water heater to plumber. When you call to find out why, they just read same info, when you ask for manager they send you to another person that talks over you repeating the same thing the first person said. You ask for their manager and are told that you’ll get a call back within 24 hours. You confirm that at end of this call you’ll be sent to survey but when call over they don’t send you. I’m not holding my breath on the manager call back. I guess they are trying to wait me out?? They said the delay was due to supply of water heaters, however the plumber could have gotten the exact same brand the next day.

      I purchased American Home Shield's Platinum plan, their most expensive plan because I live in ******* and need my ** to work in the summer time.I had an issue with my ** and the first company they sent out to repair it said that it could be repaired, and they would send over the information to the home warranty company. Later that day I received a call and was told it actually couldn't be fixed and would need to be replaced and the warranty company would not cover the cost to replace. I told them I wanted a 2nd opinion and set that in motion with AHS. Keep in mind this is in the middle of July and it was 110 degrees. The 2nd company came out to my house and told me that the previous company that came out first didn't put the ** panels back on and left the heater vent tube disassembled. If this would have stayed like this and we ran the heater that winter our attic would have filled with C02 and my family could have gotten sick or died. American Home Shield then denied the claim because the unit was partially taken apart. I called them to explain that was how the first company left it when they left and AHS said it didn't matter. Claim denied. I had to pay $6,000 for a new **. I told them I wanted my entire policy refunded since they refused to handle the claim and they said, "No". The best AHS would do is refund the $100 service fee which means they know they were in the wrong but they don't care. Me, my wife, and my 3 kids suffered ******************************************************************************************************************* the end.NEVER EVER use American Home Shield.

      This was my first time using this company. I have had two other home warranties in the past, all good experiences. This company first did not cover a plumbing issue that was pretty immediate after buying a new home. One of the reasons for the home warranty use for things we might not of known with a new home. Then fridge issue they say ***** is coming so I am like great!!! but in like 30 days (9/19) ok I guess long wait but ***** in past had good rep...(let me tell you not anymore!!!!! go read reviews for ***** home service). The appt window is (8-5) appt day (9/)...3pm I get a call they don't have a tech available and reschedule for 30 more days out. I am very unhappy who can live without a fridge 60 days easily..no one!! They finally come to that appt but I apparently need 1 more part....so you guessed it 30 more days later..11/19. waiting all day (8-5) no call no show. I cant get ahold of anyone..at 7pm I get a text message saying i have been rescheduled for 12/31.... SO NOT ONLY WILL MY FRIDGE NOT BE FIXED BY THANKSGIVING BUT NOT EVEN BY CHRISTMAS. I have zero faith anyone will show 12/31 either. I called ahs when I couldn't get through to ***** and got someone who said they would call me back today in the morning and see if they could get someone else to do my repair its almost 2pm with no call. I will not be renewing this warranty at all ever.

      This service is not a good service to me. They called ***** to fix my stackable dryer and now the washer doesn't work because the tech pushed the ************** into the wall which stop the drain hose from draining. Both ****************************** wants to charge me for someone to come out to fix what they broke.

      Just had an appointment/did one thing on the list and never addressed the 2nd. Called number to request as to why they did not complete the order--I was told that there was nothing listed on the order--requested agent read what was on the order--she read fridge leaking and ice maker not making ice. I asked her what that means to her. I also asked for a manager but she was the last point in contact. She did not hang up on me but she would no longer communicate with me as it was complete silence. This entire experience cost me $125 to schedule the appointment and another $52.25 for a drain to be cleaned. NOTHING ADDRESSED FOR THE ICE MAKER. Terrible customer ********************** and worse ********************** call.

      I made my first claim for a broken stove/range on October 28. The technician from ***** said parts were needed. I have now been without a way to cook for over three weeks, but of course they took my deductible immediately. I could have paid for a new stove with the money this is costing me in dinner out for me and my grandson for three weeks now and the deductible of $125.

      Not professional & always find a way out of paying for things. Had them for years & really never used them until right after my husband passed away & they wouldn't cover things stating not normal ************ Something even my plumber said should have been covered. Then when I went to try to cancel my service they were rude & kept giving me the run around about cancelling.

      This company does just what I suspected. They take your money and when it comes down to paying out for a broken appliance they come up with a reason as to why it's not covered. ****!

      American Home Shield is the BIGGEST ***************** EVER! Just saw the *** News report about this business & wanted to add my horrible experience with them to your list.Many years ago, I needed them to replace my water heater. I have recordings of the run around they gave me when I needed to replace my water heater. I was without hot water for 4 days because they were so unscrupulous! I ended up having to take an amount of money far less than what a water heater costs just to get a good water heater replacement. At the time, they only had one Water Heater vendor that they used and they were in **. I live in ************! I reported the other vendor I begged them to send thinking he would follow my policy guarantee. Instead, the vendor they sent to quote me for a new water heater wanted to charge me for extra parts that I did not need and would not put the quote in writing! The quote was almost as much as buying a new water heater. This company needs to be fully investigated. Like I said I have the recordings if you want them!Just ask them for quotes and you will see they refuse to put anything in writing because it would indeed implicate them.Thank you @*** for reporting on this SCAM!
