I had been going to Campbell Clinic seeing ************* for months for a shoulder injury due to a fall at work. All of my visits including physical therapy were covered under Workmens Comp. For some reason my last dr visit which was to release me back to work full duty is not being filed correctly by the office and they are sending me a $500 bill. They are saying my last visit was for a back problem not covered under Workmens Comp. I don't even know where this idea would have come from. I was STRICTLY seen so i could go back to regular duty. After calling and calling and calling speaking with ****** in the office to no avail, this is what it has come to.

***************** was sent statements on 1-14-2021, 2-6-2021, 3-13-2021 and 4-17-2021.  She also called the office on 5-21-2021 and was told that she had a past due balance that needed to be paid in full.  She said she was driving and would have to call back to get contact information for payment.  We never received a call back from the patient.  She has recently received calls from the collection agency on October 23,2023 requesting that she pay the balance  She said she would have to call back because she was unable to pay at that time.  They called her again on 11-13-2023 the phone was answered and promptly hung up.

The copays i paid in july, august, september, and now oct are supposed to be covered through the secondary insurance card. I sent several messages about all of it including documents. The service said i would get a response back within 24 hours, no responses at all but they keep sending bills sayong i owe them. They owe me reimbursement for things that were covered under tenncare secondary insurance. If this is not resolved i will be calling *************** govt consumer reports to complain to them.

The patient did not supply his secondary insurance until August 2023 which was after services were provided and billed.  Now that we have his secondary insurance we will go back and bill the balances left by primary to his secondary and refund the money that he has paid.

I went in pain left in pain. Not the best bedside manners. Tried to basically force me to lay still while he ram a needle in my knee that I had to recommend because he said there was not much he could do. Told me to do therapy. And then he went bragging about how he get narcotics when he needs them. All they want is money from the therapy department. I process claim for therapy it very expensive and they will not get my money and write me off. If you want better care look else. He may be good to certain patient but I'm not one of them. Good luck.I feel as though I didn't get best treatment plan. Im in severe pain and have supporting evidence why do I have to wait for relief I'm allergic to nsaid anyway and u have never taken diclofenac . He also threatened to not give care because I was afraid of the pain it would cause do to him not using a topical anesthetic prior to invasive procedures.

I had surgery on April 11 by *************** on my right shoulder. What I consented to wasnt done and my shoulder is ruined. I cant use my arm the same. The pain is real and its severe. I can do some things but the pain is constant and hurts more with small weight. I have been left in debilitating pain that has been in addressed for over 1.5 month. Im very limited in what I can do with my arm and in my day to day life. The surgery that was performed on me was unnecessary and I received a wrong diagnosis. They are treating me as if I dont matter post surgery. They did me no favors I paid for every service that I have received. I wish I had never allowed this doctor to operate on me. He gave me false information regarding my shoulder and false hope. He makes me communicate through a secretary and a PA and hides instead of facing me. Then made me wait 1.5 months for a follow up appointment. When I asked to speak to him directly he refused instead I got an email from an unofficial email which is ****** when he can call me or speak to me through the patient portal. The email was a bunch of generic information where he still denied addresses my concerns and answering my question as to why he did what he did to my arm when it wasnt necessary nor discussed. I only revived a packet from his PA secretary ******** for rotator cuff repair and the diagnosis was a high grade tear which turned out to be wrong. I subjected myself to significant scarring, pain, and undue stress for a false diagnosis and the doctor and his staff have been very neglectful. I had to ask about other pain management alternatives because I dont want opioids or narcotics and they refused help. The doctor/Campbell clinic has shown complete negligence and management ******* has as well. She called me a week later and keeps playing phone tag instead of being professional and taking the matter seriously. She should make an appointment to speak with me. But instead is behaving in a very unprofessional manner.

I am rejecting this response because:
They are just avoiding their responsibility. It has nothing to do with HIPPA. I have tried many times to resolve this matter at the number they have listed and they treat patients as if they are a joke. They need to do the right thing. As of now this matter is unresolved. They are taking advantage of people pain and are charging them for services not required while also causing serious trauma and pain that is unnecessary and that is unethical.

I was seen at Campbell Clinic in January and subsequently for a follow up appointment. I have received several bills and have paid each of them timely. Today's bill (6/14/23) of ***** was also paid today in full. I am requesting a detailed receipt of service complete with date of service, diagnosis, and provider so that this receipt may be submitted to my FSA account for reimbursement by 7/1/23, when I will lose access to available FSA funds. I have made numerous efforts to work within the patient portal to obtain this receipt with no success. Numerous calls to listed telephone contacts for Campbell Clinic are not answered, including the appointment booking line, and there is no answering service with which to leave a message.

I was billed for durable medical equipment that I not only did not receive but was on a date of service I was not at the business. I called multiple times to resolve this issue and spoke to the billing agent and she said she would investigate the issue. Ive never heard back from her. She rarely returns calls and has been zero help. Today I received my bank statement and see the charge was made without my authorization for the amount of the charges. So I went o to the billing portal, sure enough it shows paid. I did not authorize that payment, these charges are fraudulent charges and I demand a refund for it.

I injured my foot because I am blind and ran my foot into a metal chair that i did not see. Campbell clinic was the only place that accepted my insurance. At their walk in clinic I was informed that they accepted my insurance and I had broken my toe badly, that it needed to be taped, and a protective boot worn to isolate it for healing and prevent walking on it or injuring it further. Not once was I told insurance didnt cover it. As I sat in the waiting area being fitted with the boot I joked with the person about being clumsy because I was blind. He gave me a form to sign in his words, "to show that you received the boot." Not one mention of any cost that insurance didnt cover. I asked him to place his finger on the line so I could sign it as I was legally blind and couldnt see it. He complied. On my way out the receptionist tried to get me to pay for the ENTIRE visit whereupon I informed her that I was told by them that they accept my insurance and there was no copay. I had to tell her that it is illegal to make a patient pay when they are in network. Reluctantly she agreed to bill my insurance. A week later I received a bill for the boot. When I contacted them the billing department said that insurance didnt cover it and I was responsible. (I suppose next they will start charging for casts as "not neccessary") When I told her that the man who had given me the form did NOT state a cost that my insurance would not cover, she replied it's right there on the form. I replied, "ma'am, i'm blind and I told everyone that, including him" She rudely retorted a denial and that I was informed of the cost, but she wasnt present, nor would I have taken the boot if I had known I would have to pay out of pocket. Half of my income already pays for eye medicine that insurance doesnt cover. I would NOT have accepted ANOTHER cost This is NOT the way a MEDICAL establishment should be treating visually impaired patients. This is taking advantage of those people that dont know their rights, cant see and are trust medical "professionals" to be honest. It was ILLEGAL to try to make a patient pay for a covered visit and it shoujld have been made clear that the boot, a necessary item to prevent injury, would NOT be covered. You shouldnt have to worry that your DOCTOR'S ****** is as ***** as a used car salesman

      Business response

      02/16/2023

As the patient stated she was informed that there would be a cost for the post op shoe that she was given because her insurance company does not cover this item.  We will write off the cost of $14.00 for her this time but in the future she will be expected to pay for items that are non-covered by her insurance company.
