      I find it hard to believe the poor reviews were for service received at the Binswanger Glass on ************* in *******. Yesterday I went to this location needing assistance in the repair of a shower door. Both gentlemen in the store were gracious, courteous and patient as I "tried" to explain the trouble I was having with the door. They went out of their way to listen and give clear, concise directions on how to make the repair. This was not a big ticket sale, but they gave their attention as if it was. Well, I walked away a fan and intend to share this experience with as many people as possible.

      We were quoted $50.00 to give us an estimate on window glass replacement (size: approx. 29"x28"); they stated the $50.00 would be applied to the price of the glass replacement when we had the work done. The quote came in at $475, which we thought was high, so we got an estimate from another glass company. When we contacted Binswanger, they said they do not refund the $50.00 because this covers the price of have the "quote" done!!! We tried to stop payment through our credit card and they said the company was paid the night of the quote!!Most businesses make clear if there is a charge for an estimate; most businesses do not charge for giving an estimate.We would not recommend this company to anyone and they should not have a good BBB rating. (1) They ran the charge thru our credit card before hearing from us whether we wanted them to do the work and (2) Refused to return the $50.00 when we asked that they not charge our credit card.

      I was road tripping to ******, ** during June, 2022. A rock chipped my windshield, a crack formed across its middle; it had to be replaced. Only in town a few days, I needed it replaced quickly, and Binswanger agreed. The quote was about $360.00 for a 2014 **** Focus, seemed a bit steep, but I was in a hurry. The customer service, product, and installation were all terrible. They removed the broken windshield and called me to say that the new windshield was scratched, and could I wait a few more days for another one. I could not. I tried to haggle the price but the receptionist was unhelpful. She said a supervisor would call me. My phone rang and a man said, "I'm ____ from Binswanger, but I don't know why I'm calling you." I explained the situation and tried to work out a new price. He told me that the scratch was about two inches long, superficial, and over the rear-view mirror so I wouldn't really see it. He only agreed to take approx. $60.00 off of the price. When I picked the car up, the scratch was directly over the driver's view out of the windshield and about eight inches long. I was pretty irritated, but again thought "well, things happen." Then, I encountered the cashier. She quoted me the original price with no discount - clearly there was no internal communication at this office. I informed her of the scratch and she spent about 10 minutes trying to decide what to do. She finally came up with a flat $300.00 charge, and made a statement of what an amazing discount this was - told me that it was about a "61% discount." We briefly discussed what a 61% discount actually was and then she ended the discussion saying, "Well, I don't bother myself with all of that." So, the cashier can't be bothered by math, the supervisor has no clue why he makes calls, the receptionist can't answer basic questions, and finally (I didn't notice this one until I got in my car to drive away), the installers left black fingerprints all over the inside of my headliner.

      Horrible experience dealing with the management at the Corpus Christi, Texas location and the entire company! We woke up the morning of January 24th, 2022 to a wet mess in our condo due to water pouring in thru our ceiling due to an improper and incomplete install of a window wall unit above our condo unit. The issues at hand were caused by Binswanger's failure to complete a window wall unit installation in a timely fashion and/or failure to take actions to prevent water and other elements from entering the unit above if the window wall installation could not have been completed for some reason. The weather forecast was for 100% rain beginning late Sunday night (January 23rd) into early last Monday (January 24th) and had been forecasted that way since at least Wednesday, January 19th. We were later told that either the job was not completed either due to employees being pulled away to another job, or that the job wasn't completed because it was too cold on Thursday and Friday. Binswanger had an obligation to take measures to prevent water from coming into the unit in which they were installing a window, and ultimately into our unit, in order that we would not have to deal with the repercussions of Binswanger's negligence and incompetence. Since then, I've spent more than 3 months fighting with their 3rd party administrator to get a fair settlement from them for the damages and loss of use. To date, they still have not offered up an amount to compensate us for the damages and loss of use. DO NOT USE BINSWANGER EVER! IF SOMETHING GOES WRONG, YOU WILL BE STUCK DEALING WITH A COMPANY NAMED ESIS, WHOSE JOB IS TO CLEAN UP BINSWANGER"S MISTAKES FOR THE LEAST AMOUNT OF MONEY POSSIBLE AND DRAG IT OUT AS LONG AS THEY CAN!

      We would like to express our sincere apologies for the amount of lost time in your condo for you and your family, lost time in your personal life having to spend it on the phone with our insurance adjusters, and lost time enjoying your life instead of worrying about this unfortunate circumstance because of our inadequate installation in unit 209 above your condo.

      We have admitted fault from day one, immediately establishing communication with you and continue to do so though our insurance adjusters and other Binswanger personnel. We are firm in that regard until we can reach a common agreement with you.

      We want to make this right. Ultimately, our goal as a 150 year old organization is to ensure the highest level of service to all of our customers and those that are impacted by our actions. We will always take ownership of our mistakes to learn from them and better our organization as a whole.

      We ordered a replacement window for a rent house from the Norman, OK location back in June because the firm the tenant contacted said they could not replace the current window with as good quality as Binswanger had previously. We paid for half the cost in August with instructions to call the tenant to schedule and keep getting put off because of "storms" in the area. When the worker from Kansas called US instead of the tenant, we were told installation could be Nov. 15, but when we tried to call him back he did not answer his cell phone nor could a message be left or a text sent. Now we are told it will be another week or 2. We will NEVER call Binswanger again!!!
