she had lied about the length of what she would cut my mini aussie (which is fine) so he was cut much much shorter than a type of dog like that should be. the main issue is that her clippers or tools or area that she bathed and groomed him with we’re not all the way cleaned. we were able to see some mold in the tub she used to clean and is very shady online about how big her area actually is. my dog started acting lethargic and scratching IMMENSELY right after we got him from her business. after a few days of waiting, it got worse and he now has red patches EVERYWHERE. i had to take him to the vet and get antibiotics and antihistamines for him so he can have some relief. he will not move or do anything besides scratch. i did get confirmation from my vet this was caught at her business due to poor hygiene in between grooming dogs. i spent *** to get her to groom him. and spent even more money for the meds and medicated shampoo. she put my dog at risk. mind you, she does state she’s been in the business for years but i’m afraid she was lying. i also did not see a license or proof or her years in the business either.Business response

I am ****** ******* the owner of Dirty Paws Cottage dog grooming. I just received a letter today Dec 27th 2023 regarding this complaint. I also read the review this person left. This is the 1st and only 1 star review I have received in nearly 2years. I can assure you this dog DID NOT obtain any kind of skin fungus from my shop! I groomed more dogs that day, with the same clippers and blades and they did not complain of any skin fungus. Out of hundreds of dogs I've groomed I have never had anyone complain or tell me their dog had to take antibiotics for skin issues! I also can produce many customers that will tell you I am a clean groomer who uses alcohol and blade sanitizer on my blades and clippers and bleach to clean my shop. I am curious as to why this person did not say anything to me about the dogs hair being too short when they picked the dog up. I explained to them that the hair would be shorter due to mats but it was nowhere near bald as she claims. I've delt with people that expect their dog to look a certain way but if the dogs coat doesn't cooperate or they have mats they may not get the result they want. If I'm not mistaken this dog had some thin spots in the hair and it had a few fleas which will cause itching and thinning hair....(not my problem) I am truly sorry they weren't satisfied, however, had they said something to me the same day rather than waiting a week, I could have handled it right then rather than getting you all involved. If there is anything else you all need from me please let me know!
