Please beware! I called Aireserv when our A/C began blowing hot air suddenly. When i called they said they would send a technician out to diagnose, which would be an $89 fee unless I went through them to pay for the repair they found. They said "" was on his way and sent a photo. He arrived with only his iPad, prior to him walking in we shut down the HVAC fan blowing hot air so He can take a look safely. He immediately tells us that the fan motor is burnt up and we would need a replacement, he could order it for us. We said that's absolutely impossible, we think it's the capacitor to the outside unit. He then laughed and said I promise you it's burnt ... and then he sees the switch and flips it on. He grunts angrily and runs out for his meter which he should have had first. He then tells me after sending my wife and son out of the hot house that it's the board to the HVAC. I explained if it's called for cold air or hot air; It will go in to a security feature and shut down. He said no, it's the board. He does his "repair" which was only a security bypass and guess what, same thing, only hot air but now the blower will not shut off so he runs out side in a panic to the main A/C unit. I ran out the back door and he already had the unit taken apart and I said "So it was the capacitor all along." He angrily nods and says yes. I ask how much will that be? He said since I'm here, $255 normally, I'll do it for $155. Then he does that, tells me I owe $512.82. For what? A capacitor? He says you'll get the invoice for when you pay. I said no I want to see it now. 30 minutes went by of me asking to see what I'm paying for. I said so if I pay I'll get my invoice so I can dispute? He said yes. I paid, and he begins walking away. Asked how will I get my invoice? He said email. I said you don't have my email; he walks back angry and gives me his iPad to put my email in and leaves. No invoice till I called the next day. Owner says we will fix this for you, Board was never issue.Business response
