We were booked on flight LF3029, It was delayed many times as we sat in the airport and finally cancelled after 10:00pm. Attendants at the airport were obviously stressed and confused. They offered us little to no information as to what we should do. They finally said Contour Airlines was to email us with directions for transport, lodging and rescheduling. Their parting words were “save all your receipts and Contour Airlines will settle with you”. They then put on their jackets and left the gate. After receiving the Contour email that only provided links that DID NOT work we decided to rent a car and drive the 5 hour trip overnight. Manistee being a very small town and small airport, many of us know airport employees. Later in the day on Monday 11/4/24 we learned that the plane had mechanical issues and it never left Manistee for Chicago early Sunday afternoon. That flight was cancelled early afternoon because the mechanic was sick. That flight was our plane that was cancelled but not until after 10:00pm. We believe we should have been notified FAR BEFORE our scheduled flight, it’s extremely aggravating that it took all day and night for our flight to finally get cancelled, seems it should have been cancelled before we even left out hotel for the airport. As the Contour staff told us I have saved all our receipts for gas, car rental. We also intend to be refunded for our flight tickets. Now we discover Contour will only refund our return ticket price. Lastly, upon boarding our flight out of Manistee for Chicago on 11/1/24 we sat in our ticked seats only to have a staff member very curtly tell us to pick any other seats, when I asked why she firmly, scowled and said she had to “observe staff” from our seats. Once we were in air she came and sat right behind me for the entire flight in the back of the plane almost to irritate me. What’s up with that?! We were informed the 10:10 am flight was delayed for 6 hours with only 5 minutes before time to board the flight. Contour airlines should have informed the passengers the night before to avoid long airport delays. Airline departure agents had no idea when the flight would be rescheduled. I received a text update informing me of the delay while waiting to board. This is the second time flying with Contour and will seriously consider other options before booking with this airline again. Another incident occurred in December 2023, an outbound flight was delayed due to deicing the plane. The pilot manually tried deicing the plane using an automobile ice scraper. That flight was delayed over 3 hours until the sun melted the the ice off the wings of the aircraft. Airports and airlines need to be prepared with the proper equipment .Contour Aviation Response

Our luggage and its contents were water damaged because they were loaded in a storm and the luggage sat in the rain uncovered. Additionally, one of our suitcases fell from the conveyor belt into a water puddle. I tried to report the incident within their 4-hour window to file a damage complaint, but there was no one working at the airport where we deboarded that could take my complaint so the next day when I was able to talk to someone they said I was outside of the window to file a complaint and their decision was final. They will not compensate me for the damages.Contour Aviation Response

Per our Contract of Carriage, passengers have up to 4 hours to file a damaged claim in person. Contour is also not responsible for water damage due to an act of god/nature. Passengers agree to our terms and conditions upon the purchase of their tickets.Review from DeVante P

TERRIBLE!! Our original flight leaving at 955a was pushed back twice, adding 9 hours of sitting at the airport. then they allowed the flight scheduled after our original departure to take our plane, and cancelled our flight. There were no representatives available to help remedy the situation at the airport, this was completely Unacceptable. The delays and cancellations are a common pattern with this airline, I would definitely not recommend using this airline by any means!Contour Aviation Response

Horrible!!! Contour is the only airline servicing Macon GA. The airline is habitually delayed for hours on end, and finally, after waiting for any information, it is canceled. I must travel from Macon weekly and must drive 2 hours to Atlanta to fly because it is a gamble to choose Contour. This area needs a more reliable airline.Contour Aviation Response

Worst airlines, we have ever experienced! We were stuck at the Dallas Fort Worth airport for 13 hours with no communication, no representative to give us any information on what was going on with our flight that kept being delayed (4 times) until the flight was canceled at 5pm. Finally, a manager with Contour Airlines his name was Angel came around giving us some hope that he would book us on ******** ********… We waited hours to hear back from this manager and he never came back to where we were waiting at gate D5. We finally had to go search for someone to help us at ******** ******** first they were going to charge us. However, we pointed out to please contact this contour airlines manager named Angel because he was supposed to help us get on a flight to Nashville. Finally, after 13 hours of this nightmare, we were able to fly out at 9:45 PM arriving in Nashville at 11:15PM! We will never fly on Contour Airlines again and my recommendation would be don’t waste your time or money with Contour Airlines!Contour Aviation Response

Spent gas and time today only for them to cancel after 4.5 hours waiting and for them to not even accommodate there error and than expect us to take time off work to do it again tomorrow on our dime!! Lost wages, lost time... it's a sad airline Contour Airlines. Back today for a rescheduled 9:39 flight and it's projected to be 12:30 pm. Asked for food voucher and was informed I could email request. Who's feeding her today people, now? On hold for over an hour, so far. They told me we're waiting for the same broke plane from yesterday, like they only have one plane?? They just stated that the 1:30 flight is full so we won't be on that one either. So now the tally with food, gas, parking, and lost wages ( we scheduled on a Sunday as to not miss work) because now it's a work day!! 360.00 total!! And they refused to accommodate anything. I flew with Contour for the first time from BNA to DFW on June 1. Their agent showed up at the counter 1.5 hours (instead of 2 hours) earlier than the scheduled flight time. Then my flights got pushed back a couple of times for "maintenance issues". Eventually, I arrived at DFW about 1.5 hours late. The agents were chatting and laughing and do not appear to be very professional. Since the flights do not show up on the airport monitor, I felt like I was in dark, not knowing what will happen next. I am having doubts about booking with them again.Review from Joy A

Our 11:15 a.m. flight from Nashville on 3/20/2023 was delayed numerous times. It was cancelled around 4p.m and we were switched to another flight that was to leave at 6p.m. However, that flight was bumped, as the plane that had arrived and was to go on to our destination at 6:00 p.m was commandeered and re-routed to another city. I guess Contour felt it was more important to keep another flight over accommodating passengers from two different flights to our destination. They bumped the second flight to our town to 10:00 p.m. hoping the plane with mechanical issues would be fixed by then. The plane was not fixed and both flights to my destination were cancelled. What is worse, is that we spoke to a gentleman in the terminal that had been trying to get to our destination as well. He had been delayed, bumped, and cancelled for three days. We ultimately rebooked with ********* to get to an airport 2 hours from our original destination. Not only are we out the higher price paid for a last-minute ticket, and other travel expenses to make that flight, we have yet to get confirmation of our refund. The terminal agent stated she requested but emails to customer service have been fruitless. When we called customer service, we were told they only handle new reservations.Review from Michael H

Contour cancelled out flight without any notice as we sat at the gate waiting. They lost our luggage for 7 days but stated they would reimburse $75 per day per bag. We were out of town for 10 days and had to purchase clothes. We submitted our claim and receipts for less than the amount they committed to but denied the claim stating the airport lost our luggage. We checked our bags with contour employees. Horrible service and empty promises to correct. We spent hours over 10 days on the phone trying to find out bags then get reimbursed. Will never fly this airline.
