I was sent the wrong color of foundation. I was told to keep the foundation due to it being opened. I have been trying to get the correct color since February. I called numerous times and finally got someone today . Was then told I would not be able to get the correct foundation because I kept the other. Horrible customer service. She kept interrupting me. Im done with Mary KayReview from Justlee M

Pushy sales people. They dont let you say no and say what can I get started for you? I wanted to say no, but I wanted to buy some products and use my gift certificate. I had to watch videos for a free lip gloss and then a follow up meeting after watching the videos of people saying why they joined and became a consultant. I already made the choice in my head I was not going to be a consultant because I hate pushy sales people and am not a sales person. I do not want to force people do anything. The follow up meeting after the videos with the sales consultant was basically like a job interview where she asks about you after I already told her about myself after the first meeting. I did not feel comfortable about it at all and gave short answers. She kept insisting I could be a consultant but I said no I am not a sales person. I am not passionate about the company nor do I like sales companies such as these. I wont buy from them again.Review from Danielle V

I signed into be a Mary kay consultant after being lied to. I asked many times "what's the catch" and more specific questions about how this works. I was told once i pay to be a consultant, and pay for samples, and pay to sign up to be able to except orders, that i then get 50% off and it can be used for personal use. Fantastic. I love a deal. After i pay for everything i am told i only get the discount once i place a wholesale order for $450. I state that i am upset, because i specifically asked and was not told this. No problem, i spend more money to place a huge order to get the discount, which i was told would be active for 12 months. Now i can get my product for the next year for 50% off. I'm told yes. Turns out NOPE. I get a text a month later stating that i need to place another order in the same amount every other month in order to get my discount. So now I've spent hundreds of dollars to get a discount, which I'll only get if i continue to spend hundreds. Since i asked very specific questions often i didn't think id be taken for what i have. But i was lied to by the consultant that roped me into this, as the more i do the more she makes, and didn't want to lose a consultant. She seemed so trustworthy and personable. Just a great scheming sales person as i had worried about. They say it's not a pyramid scheme, but it's full of lying consultants out to get themselves a dollar, s******* over and lying to struggling single parents. Great product. Great liars.Review from Debbie P

It took forever to get my order. Had to go through the corporate office before I could ever get it, and from what I understand the coordinator.***********************, is the one who has had all of the products at her house since August. *************** said they will get them when they get them! This was what she said when ****** asked her when the customers would be getting their orders. Most of the customers have not gotten theirs yet, but fortunately I did get mine. And the reason I know this is because my granddaughter, *************************** is the one who started selling Mary Kay. several family members and friends ordered from her and most have still not received their products. No one at corporate will help and its just a real shame to do business this way.Review from Magaly A

I called the company to cancel my order(less then 10hr). And was told to late cancel order because it was sent out. I ask if I can return my order I was told that it would cancel my contact. I dont understand if a customer cancel there order the get there money back. But if I cancer an order my contract is cancelled what BS is this.Review from Mariely S

I am *********. I was a Sales Director for Mary Kay for 6 months, before meeting this goal, my Director in charge advised me on asking for loans, including my family, everyone I met and if they didn't have the means to invest, I had to place their orders under their names. Each person or family with orders of $600 each, basically, to have enough production to meet the goal of the "trophy on wheels" car. My husband and I made a total investment of $30,000. We transferred money through ZELLE to each person that helped ** pay their orders with their cards. All this advised by my director. Then, when I qualified to use the professional car, they told me through a call from the ********** of **** that I could not opt for the car because my license is temporary, and they also told me to ask for compensation. I waited month after month for said compensation and never got paid. So, realizing the situation was sketchy, I was disappointed in the lack of compliance and, in turn, they required me to make monthly productions of $600 and since we had already run out of money, all our savings went to merchandise.
We had $32,000 worth of beauty products, little sales, so I couldn't go on. I was discharged, until I got to a consultant level again. In the month of February of this year I received a call from the ********** of **** telling me that they were processing my plate and insurance, resulting in the dealer calling me in April asking me to pick up the Malibu. On April 28, the ********** called me again to tell me that they had made a mistake and that this car was not for me, and that I shouldn't have picked it up because of my license, and that I would never have a ********************** car, the person, used discriminatory language. She then informed me that they were going to send a tow truck to remove the vehicle. So on May 11th they took the car and on June 14th I got a letter from Mary Kay saying I OWE THEM $500! and when I called Mary Kay's Car **********,Review from Amanda M

I signed on as a Mary Kay consultant. Shortly after I committed and spent $600 in product, I discovered I had been lied to on several levels. I was told that I would not need to spend any more money that year to continue to receive my discount. This was not true. Three months later I lost my discount unless I was willing to spend $250 more. I was told I could return product for repurchase, however, after sending it back and they subtract all of the fees, gifts, etc. I got nothing in return and lost the product I had spend money on. I wish I had done more research. There were several other lies told to me, but my warning is do your research. As a Christ follower, I am angry that Mary Kay claims Christian values, because it is not evident in their business practices.Review from Jamie B

I just recently purchased from mary kay from one of their consultants. I purchased 2 times not realizing i used the wrong card. the SAME day i reached out email/text/called the consultant and told them about the issue and to only send ONE of the orders. They did not reply no matter how many days i tried to reach out to contact them. They ended up charging both my cards and shipping the items. So then Im looking for the items so i can ship them right back and no items show up at my door. So i contact the consultant again, this time she answers and claims she doesn't know who I am. So i give her screenshots and proof and she does nothing. then I call mary kay themselves to tell them what happened and they basically told me " you put your card information in the site and you made the order so its no ones fault but your own." HOW MUCH OF A SCAM IS THAT? basically after making a harmless mistake any other business could correct by canceling the order and then not receiving the order which could have been resolved with a reshipment or refund... THIS is what mary kay had to say. Im really disappointed because I have used their products for so long. I will no longer be using their services. Stay tuned for my YouTube video i will be doing on my channel, I have to let my beauty queens know about this scam i just encountered with them. They dont even deserve 1 star.Review from Karen L

I've purchased Mary Kay cosmetics for years...when I no longer worked with a Mary Kay sales rep, I started attempting to order online. The reps were fine, but I have been consistently unable to order off the website...I put all my info in and the little timer thing just goes around and around...the first rep gave up and used Paypal...not sure what this next one will do but I'm giving up and going to a cosmetics store. Something so simple shouldn't be so difficult
